Happy April, my friends! Today, I'm sharing 2 fun greeting cards that are perfect for spring, Easter, a birthday, or just to let someone know you're thinking of them. We can get so busy sometimes but, still want to find a little time to craft, so ... today's project is a simple one that's super cute and relatively quick.
I designed these with a mix of 6 different Doodlebug Design collections that I had in my stash (links below). However, you could easily substitute similar products from more recent ones to replicate these.
To make the first card, I cut the base out of Doodlebug's Petite Prints, Linen & Gingham in bumblebee. It measures 3.75" wide x 8.75" tall and uses a 3 7/8" x 8 7/8" envelope. Then, I added a circle flower sticker from the Simply Spring This & That sheet to the center of the card.
Next, I used the PhotoPlay #9 Circle Windows Die Set to cut the circles in the lavender "Sunday Dress" buffalo check print from Doodlebug's, Hoppy Easter Collection. I added some pop dots to the back and adhered on top of the card making sure the flower sticker was centered on the middle window.
Now ... time to decorate! I used some adorable rabbit icon stickers from the Easter Parade Collection. I tucked the bunny's legs behind the circle and her ear and arm just outside of it. How cute!
In the bottom window, I added the "just for you" word bubble from the Simply Spring Chit Chat, another bunny icon sticker, and a flower. The flowers are from the Flower Friends Mini Doodle-pops from the Fairy Tales Collection. I love their sweet smiling faces!
Next up, is this cute Hello card. For the base, I used white cardstock and cut a circle in the front cover using a Marvy Uchida punch. Then, I cut a slightly larger circle in the rainbow stripe print called "Chickie Babies" from the Easter Parade Collection and layered that on top.
I added a thin strip of Doodlebug's Petite Prints Linen & Gingham in swimming pool down the left side and then embellished. I found the "hello" die cut in the Chit Chat from the Bunny Hop Collection but you can find this in other collections as well.
Inside, I added more of the swimming pool gingham and embellished with the bunny rabbit, the white picket fence, and the orange polka dot egg ... all are icon stickers from the Easter Parade Collection.
So these were pretty simple and quick, right?! It's a cute project when you're short on time. These spring cards can be used for almost anything from a cute thank you card to get well soon card!
Thanks for stopping by the blog and happy crafting! 😊
