Hey friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's February Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site too because she has a sale and more great products for you!
For my project today, I made this L🩷VE mini album that's perfect for Valentine's Day photos. I used one of Lori's cutting files called Heart Stacking Card Dots (link below) to replace the O in LOVE with a heart. She has many of these "stacking card" files and they're all pretty fabulous!
To make this, I cut the covers out of white acrylic but you could use cardstock or chipboard instead. I made the back piece first using a rounded rectangle shape in my Silhouette software and resized it to 10.5" x 4.25". Then, I sized the letters L, V, and E (Impact Font) to fit within the back cover shape.
Next, came the acrylic heart. I sized the shape to fit within the space, then welded the letters and the heart all together to create my front cover.
Using card stock in red, pink, yellow, and white I cut the heart's pieces out and stacked them on top of one another. Is it just me or is there a slight 3D effect happening? Lol! Then, I decorated the album with the Doodlebug Design, Lots of Love Collection (links below).
Here's a look at a few pages inside the album ...
I covered each of the cardstock pages in colorful 12x12 and 6x6 pattern papers. I added different sized photo mats for interest and embellished with lots of cute die cuts (links below).
What a pretty page for photos of you and your sweetie, the littles or grandlittles, friends, a beloved pet, or your parents. This album is perfect for photos of anyone that's special to you.
I
hope you "L🩷VE" my new Valentine's Day mini album and Lori's Heart Stacking Card Dots cutting file.
There are more amazing projects to see today, so be sure to hop to each blog for lots of great ideas!
