Hey friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's January Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site too because she has a sale and more great products for you!
For my project today, I made this SNOW scrapbook mini album that's perfect for saving winter photos. I used one of Lori's cutting files called Snowman Gift Bag (link below) to create the cute little snowman on the cover.
I created the base of the covers out of white acrylic but, you can easily use cardstock or chipboard instead.
First, I made a back cover using a rounded rectangle shape in my Silhouette software and resized it to 10.5" x 4". Then, I resized the letters S, N, and W (Impact Font) so they would fit within my back cover shape.
Next, I used Lori's adorable snowman as the O in SNOW, sizing it to fit in the space. I welded each of the letters and the base of the snowman together to create my front cover. Then, I had fun decorating it with the Doodlebug Design, Let It Snow and Candy Cane Lane Collections.
I love this snowman and since he was the inspiration for this album, I couldn't wait to decorate him. I cut the rest of his pieces out of cardstock and added enamel dots for his eyes, pink cheeks, and buttons. So cute!
Here's a look at a few pages inside the album ...
I covered each of the cardstock pages in colorful 12x12 and 6x6 pattern papers. I added different sized photo mats for interest and embellished with stickers and die cuts (links below).
What a cute page for photos of family, friends, fun in the snow, building a snowman, making snow angels, skiing, sledding, or a vacation in the mountains.
Baby, it IS cold outside!! So, it's a great time to stay inside and create something fun with Lori's SVG files.
I hope you like this SNOW mini album and Lori's sweet little snowman that inspired it. I love thinking outside the box and using her files in surprising ways. This snowman started as a cute embellishment on a gift bag and now he's the O on my scrapbook cover. 💕
