Pumpkin Farm Fall Scrapbook Album with Tutorial

Hi scrappers and happy Halloween! 🎃 I hope everyone has a fun and safe evening. I'll be celebrating with the grandlittles enjoying the holiday costumes, candy, and silly shenanigans. And ... taking lots of photos!

But first, I want to share my latest Lori Whitlock Design Team Project. I made a fall themed mini album using one of Lori's fantastic cutting files called Hidden Binding Mini Album Apple (product links below). With some orange cardstock and pretty patterns, I turned an apple into an autumn themed pumpkin! What a cute place to save your favorite fall photos. 

First, let’s take a look inside then I’ll explain how I made it with a tutorial below.

To create this, I cut the base out of solid cardstock and decorated it with the beautiful Echo Park, I Love Fall Collection designed by Lori. On the cover, I added a pretty 6x6 print (the small size is so cute!), a few enamel dots, an acorn brad, and the pumpkin farm sticker from the 12x12 elements sheet. 

The album has 5 pages (including the covers) and inside, I layered each one with a different pattern paper. I added round photo mats using a 3" scallop punch and a 2.5" circle punch by Marvy Uchida.

I embellished the pages with stickers from the 12x12 sheet and the sticker book. For the smaller round photo mat on the right side, I used a 2" scallop punch and a 1.75" circle punch.

Above, I added a few more stickers, a brad, and on the right ... I punched the round "thankful, grateful, blessed" circle out of one of the I Love Fall 4x6 journaling cards. I used the 2.5" circle punch.

It's such a pretty little album, right? Now let me show you how simple it is to make!

1. Cut the pieces out - I cut the binding pieces and 10 apple shapes out of apricot cardstock by Bazzill. Then, I cut 10 leaves out of the I Love Fall green solid paper and 10 stems out of the brown Fall Flowers pattern. 

2. Once those are cut, take the binding piece and fold it along the score lines.

3. You'll end up with mountains and valleys like in the photo above. Add adhesive inside the valleys. 

4. Press the valley sides together to create the spine of the album.

5. Then, adhere the rectangular cover piece over the flat side of the folds.

6. Gather your page pieces and adhere the leaves and stems to the front of 5 left-side facing pumpkins and 5 right-side facing pumpkins. 

7. Now adhere the pumpkin pages to each of the accordion spine folds. Add one to the front and one to the back of each fold, matching the shapes back-to-back. This creates layered pages that are nice and sturdy.

8. Continue to adhere the rest of the pumpkin pages to each of the folds until the album is complete. Then it's time to decorate!

When you're finished, you'll end up with a fabulous mini album that's perfect for pictures of autumn, a pumpkin patch, fall leaves, and everyday memories.

I now have this cute little fall scrapbook sitting out on my clear Acrylic Display Stand in my kitchen on a shelf. My stands are perfect for showing off your seasonal projects. They make great decor AND they're filled with your FUN memories! Win, win!

12x12 Summer Snapshots Scrapbook Layouts

Hello everyone! Do you still have summer photos that need a home? If so, I have two really colorful 12x12 layouts to share with you that might be perfect for your warm weather memories. They're so versatile and could be used for photos of the beach, a picnic in the park, backyard fun, the pool, or everyday moments!

I designed these with the beautiful Simple Stories, Summer Snapshots Collection (links below). I love everything about this collection. The colors are gorgeous with lots of citrus hues and there are images of flowers, waves, lemons, beach balls, and ice cream cones. The best and most fun things of the season!

To make these, I started with the Simple Stories, warm white card stock as the base for both pages. It's part of the Color Vibe Collection and has a tiny dot pattern. Next, I layered a strip of the rainbow stripe paper (love this print), some pretty flowers, a subtle wave pattern, and two photo mats. 

I also included a journaling card in the center with a flower sticker from the 12x12 sheet and the "sunshine kisses" tab from the journal bits ephemera. What a cute spot for names, the date, location, or an event.

Check this out! I used rub-ons ... which I don't typically use but love on this page! They are the "chasing sunshine" and the colorful garland at the top. Aren't they cute?!! I also added a few enamel dots and the roller skate brad. So fun ... I grew up roller skating. 😊

The second page has lots of bright, summery colors and coordinates beautifully with the first layout. The waves match perfectly and I added another rainbow stripe down the side.

In the center, I added cards that look like colorful Polaroid frames. They're made to look aged and even have scotch tape on the corners, lol! I also added a chipboard flower sticker, a brad, and teeny tiny enamel dots. 

Look ... more rub-ons! The "Sunny Days" and the two hearts fit perfectly under the pattern papers. I love the weathered look of these words. They're perfect next to the pristine, crisp, shiny enamel dots!

Finally, I added more chipboard stickers, brads, and two foam stickers (the "remember" arrow and the heart) at the bottom. Aaaand ... I was done! That was easy and so much fun. I hope it inspires a new project for you.

NEW! 12x12 Dear Santa Christmas Layout Kit

12x12 Trunk or Treat Halloween Scrapbook Layout

Hello friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. I have a super simple 12x12 layout that's made with the adorable Hey Pumpkin Collection. It's titled Trunk or Treat and it's perfect for your Halloween photos of pumpkins, costumes, and spooky decorations!

To start, I used the 12x12 Plaid It's Halloween paper and layered lily white cardstock on top to create the base (product links below). Then, I gathered some of my scrap papers. This next part is great for using up those smaller pieces that you've held on to.

I used a 1 3/4" square punch by Marvy Uchida to cut 21 shapes out of a mix of 12x12 and 6x6 patterned scraps. I also punched a few images out of the Trick or Treat Tags paper. The candle sitting on the books above came from one of those tags.

Once I had the squares arranged on the page, I created two photo mats out of the pink Boo-tiful Bouquet paper. I added a few flower die cuts from the Bit & Pieces and some enamel stars from the October Sky shape sprinkles. 

I love this little pink car! Did you notice the little "boo" license plate, the skull hood ornament, and the headlights that look like eyes? Such fun details. It's from the icon stickers and the colorful "trunk or treat" is from the Chit Chat. So cute!

Every page needs a little shine, so I decorated the tree mini icon sticker with lots of enamel dots from the Trick or Treats shape sprinkles. It's the Halloween version of a Christmas tree! And sitting underneath, a cute pumpkin puffy sticker.

What a simple layout, right? I love it when a project comes together easily and you have such fun products to play with. The Hey Pumpkin Collection is perfect for Halloween crafts with its pretty holiday colors and adorable little characters. I hope my layout gives you a little inspiration!

NEW! Everyday Life Scrapbook Album Kit

Hey guys! Today, I'm giving you a peek into 1 of 2 NEW scrapbooking kits that will be in my shop on Friday.  This one is a mini album titled Everyday Life and it is gorgeous! It's perfect for any photo. We all love albums that are for a specific season, a holiday, school, etc. But ... what do you do with all those great photos that happen during everyday life? Isn't she pretty?! I designed this with a 6x8 inch Simple Stories binder in robin's egg and the Simple Stories, Noteworthy Collection. I love the versatility of this line with its beautiful colors, flowers, geometric designs, wood grain, stripes, and plaids. 

It also has images of vintage items like a typewriter, alarm clock, telephone, camera, office supplies, a globe, etc. But my favorite are the flowers. They're just beautiful, so I added a full package of floral die cuts to the kit.

Just inside the cover, I included this cute library pocket that makes a fun little spot for some journaling. Perfect for your family's name, the dates/year, the location, or whatever you like!

The album has 28 pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 1 pocket, 7 flippies, and space for 60+ photos. So, it's perfect for all your "little moments, big memories" and everything in between.

You could use this mini album to document your life throughout the year. It's pretty generic so you can add photos of birthdays, date night, coffee with friends, a favorite hobby, fun moments from work, or a short weekend get away.

What about pictures of crafting time, family gatherings, girl's night out, or all the crazy happenings that are going on with your kiddos like school, a recital, or sports. This album is great for almost anything!

There are so many events that we attend throughout the year, like ... a wedding, a bridal or baby shower, a graduation, prom, a local festival, a play, or religious celebration. Maybe you only take 3-4 photos at each. This is the album where you save all those amazing and fun smaller memories.
