NEW! Hot Diggity Dog Scrapbook Album

Hot Diggity Dog, it's Friday and I'm so happy! The weekend is almost here and I have a great new kit to share with you today. This fun project is titled Hot Diggity Dog and it's perfect for documenting all the sweet memories your furbaby gives you.

I designed this with the brand new PhotoPlay collection with the same name as the title (Hot Diggity Dog). These papers and stickers have the cutest little pups, bones, toys, doghouses, paw prints, polka dots, and lots of colorful pet supplies. 

I also used a white 8.25" x 6.25" 49 & Market Foundations 2" Landscape Album. It has 10 pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 5 flippies, and space for at least 30 photos.

Inside, I've added lots of fun stuff! On the page above, there are 3 folding elements. The "Happiness" card is a flippie (#1) that folds up with space inside for 2 photos. Then to the right, it's a fold-out page (#2) that flips open to show ...

... these cute pages! There are 2 photo mats, a silly snoozing hound (love his little stick legs in the air!), lots of polka dots, and another flippie (#3) with a journaling card on top. 

These lined spaces are perfect for adding some fun facts like ... your dog's name, birthday, adoption date, age, or their favorite toy, treat, place to sleep, or park to play in! 

This next page has flippies on top of flippies! I love designing these interactive elements in my albums. I think they're super fun to create and in turn ... make the album more interesting to look through.

The photos above & below show 2 handy dandy pockets. You can use these to save memorabilia like ... their birth records, immunizations, a piece of fur, a paw print, or a stellar report card from their puppy day care!

Here's a fun idea for the journaling cards ... 

Create a bucket list of all the activities you'd like to do with your pet over their lifetime. Add fun vacation ideas like a road trip to a state park or a beach. Create a list of all the tricks you want to teach them. Or, list random things you'd like to do with them like play frisbee, go jogging, hike to a waterfall, or swim in the lake. Create a checklist so you can mark off each activity as you go. Don't forget to add pictures of your adventures!

12x12 July 4th Fireworks Layout with Doodlebug

Hi there! It's time for another Doodlebug Design Team Project that uses the fabulous Hometown USA Collection. July 4th is just 1 week away and I know many of you will have photos to save. So, I have a super fun 12x12 layout to share with you that's filled with cute stickers, patriotic colors, and lots of fireworks!

Have you used any of the Shadow Box Insert Kits yet? Oh my gosh, they're so fun! The kit comes with a circle template, white cardstock, vellum, and tons of colorful stickers. You place the stickers on the vellum with the template behind it, and ... voila! A collage of cuteness!

It's so easy! Just follow the template and stick them on. This one has fireworks, the Statue of Liberty, American flags, a hot air balloon, and lots of patriotic images with that sweet "hometown" feel. It also comes with my favorite little enamel sprinkles.

Here's how I created the page ... 

I used the 12x12 red hearts paper as the base, then layered white cardstock and the 12x12 fireworks print on top (product links below). Then, I cut out a red 7.25" circle and adhered that behind the round collage.

 

Next, I matted my photos and added those to the page. For the photo above, I used the stripe pattern from the 6x6 paper pad. I thought the smaller size looked better. 

And finally, I decorated the page with die cuts from the Bits & Pieces and Chit Chat. I used 1 sticker from the This & That (the silver foil USA at the top of the photo) and added a little bit of ladybug twine to my tag.

Such a fun and simple layout but I think the fireworks and collage make such a big impact. Perfect for your 4th of July celebrations.

NEW! Chasing the Sun Summer Scrapbook Album

It's Fridaaay! Who's ready for a new summer mini album? Today, I have a fun little scrapbook kit in the shop that's perfect for this season's new memories. It's titled Chasing the Sun and it's filled with warm colors, palm trees, and a great summer vibe. Add pictures of a tropical vacation, a weekend at the beach, backyard fun, or time at the pool.

I designed this with the Echo Park, Summer Vibes Collection that includes surfboards, palm trees, swimsuits, and tropical flowers. It has a slight 1970's feel with an orange, gold, and avocado green color scheme, a cool VW bus, and the iconic sunset scene on the cover. But, the splash of blue keeps it feeling fresh and modern.

I used one of my custom 6x6 inch white acrylic albums, however ... I designed this front cover to be 2 inches narrower than the rest of the album for an interesting twist. I also added some cute details to one of the rings with an acrylic inner tube charm and a bit of twine.

Did you notice my clear Acrylic Display Stand in the photo above? These are available in my shop and they're perfect for showing off your mini albums. After spending time making these little works of art ... you should display them!

Just inside the front cover, the first page has a cute pocket and three fabulous tags with decorative enamel brads. These tags are perfect for journaling or to use as photo mats.

There are 16 pages that include 2 fold-outs, 4 pockets, 13 interactive flippies, and space for over 50 photos.

This folding page is packed with space for 10 photos. Yeah, TEN!! On the front, there are 2 flippies and a square photo mat (that's 5 photos). And inside, 2 pages and another flippie (that's at least 5 more!!).

This mini is perfect for weekend or vacation photos of a day at the beach, enjoying the pool, boating, surfing, hunting for seashells, building a sand castle, tubing, boardwalk photos, or an island cruise. And ... how cute is that turtle shaped pool floatie?!

12x12 Happy Healing Washi Tape Layout

Hey scrappers! Today, I have a new 12x12 layout idea to share with you that uses Doodlebug's adorable Happy Healing Collection and some colorful washi tape. This grid design is simple, fun to make, and ... it holds lots of photos. With 2 flippies and a few photo mats, there's space for 8 pictures on this one page! 

 

Here's how I made it ... I started with the 12x12 Love Blooms paper as the base, then layered the blue side of the Happy Healing print and white cardstock on top. (Product links below.)

Next, I grabbed the Pastel Plaid washi tape from the Bunny Hop Collection and cut 4 strips out. I positioned them in a tic-tac-toe pattern creating 9 equal squares, then ... embellished each space.

In the first square, I added a colorful stripe paper called Candy Striper and a sweet cloud die cut from the Odds & Ends.

Here is one of the two flippies. I used the Happy Healing print on the outside (love all those little images!) and a pretty heart paper called Happy Heart on the inside. 

 

In the center space, I used my Silhouette machine to cut a 3.25" circle out of the blue Happy Healing paper and layered it on top of the white cardstock. Then, I used a 3" circle punch to cut the "you got this" image out of one of the 4x4 cards. And for a little shine, I added 4 red enamel sprinkles from the All Better Shape Sprinkles.

 

A cute jar of pills and a little love is just what the doctor ordered. Did you know there are 184 amazing little die cuts to choose from in the Odds & Ends? And every single one of them is adorable! 

I used a pretty, flower-filled paper on the 2nd flippie called Thinking of You. Then to complete the layout, I added a few more embellishments from the Chit Chat, Odds & Ends, and shape sprinkles.
