Happy Friday everyone! The school year is coming to an end soon, so ... I think it's the perfect time to introduce a new school album! Sound backwards? Maybe, but it's actually great timing. Most of us have lots of school photos from this past year stored in our phones. With summer ahead, it's a terrific time to finally print them off and give them a cute home. So ... say hello to my little School Bus Shaped Scrapbook Album.
I designed this with a white acrylic bus shaped album that I custom cut for this kit. The covers measure approx. 9.5 x 5 inches. It's fun and chunky and so, so cute!
I also used the Echo Park, Off To School Collection that's filled with owls, stars, apples, books, and lots of colorful school supplies.
Inside there are 24 pages that include 2 pockets, 9 flippies, and space for over 42+ pictures of your child's fun school memories. The page above has 1 of those flippies with a great journaling spot on the front. It's perfect for documenting your child's age, grade, teacher, the year, and name of the school.
Check out this fun layout ... it's a folding page with a flippie inside! The smarty pants cards folds out to the right and
Add photos of their first day, the bus, favorite teacher(s), fun pics with best friends, the classroom, their locker or cubby, the school building, and their official school photo. Smile!
Don't forget their science fair project, school play, recitals, off-campus field trips, playground fun, lunch time, awards they've won, art projects, holiday class parties, the different sports activities, band, graduation, and ... the last day of school.
I've added lots of fun journaling cards to both pockets. You can use these to document all kinds of details about your child such as ... their best friends names, their favorite class, their grades, or ... their height and weight at the start and end of the year. You could also use the backside of these cards as photos mats.
This mini album would make a great gift idea for a teacher (or tutor!) for the end of the year, a holiday, teacher appreciation, or a thank you present.
Another great idea for the pockets is saving small memorabilia. Add report cards, awards or certificates, a party invitation, a program from a show or graduation, photos of their artwork, or a copy of their diploma.
I would say this mini gets an A+ for fun colors, cute school icons, fun interactive elements, and lots of great photo space packed into a little bus shaped scrapbook! Lol!
