Happy July 4th Scrapbook Album

Hey crafty friends! Today, I'm sharing my new Happy July 4th Scrapbook Album!! It's not only my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project but, it's also ... my NEW KIT for the week!! Yay! This super cute, patriotic mini will be available in my shop tomorrow (Friday) and it's the perfect spot to save your summer memories and 4th of July celebrations.

I designed this with a 6x8 inch red and white striped Simple Stories binder and Doodlebug's adorable new Hometown USA Collection. There are fireworks, flags, balloons, cute kids, Uncle Sam's top hat, bicycles, Lady Liberty, storefronts, and so much more! 

I decorated the front cover with a cute little picnic scene, BUT ... you can customize this if you'd like!! The album kit includes a package of Odds & Ends die cuts with tons of choices so, you can add the little girl with brown hair if you prefer!

Inside, there are 16 pages that include 3 pockets, 2 fold-out pages, 6 flippies, a gate-fold page, and space for at least 50 fun, holiday photos! 

On the first page above, I added a pocket with some cute shaped die cuts. Since these pieces are white on the backside, they make great journaling cards. But wait, there's more ...

... the pocket is also a flippie with space inside for 2 more photos!! I packed this mini with goodies.

Check out this colorful fold-out page. I just love all those holiday images. On the right, I added a cute hot air balloon and created another flippie at the bottom.

Here's the gate-fold page I mentioned. Open it up and there's room inside for 3 photos. Behind the gate-fold element, there's also a pocket with more journaling cards to document all your family fun!

12x12 Memorial Day Scrapbook Layout

Happy Memorial Day ❤️ While today is a day to remember and honor all of those who have died in service to the United States, it's also a time to reflect on the principles that they fought to protect. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful day with this in mind. For the special photos that you take, I have a patriotic 12x12 layout idea that I think will honor your memories beautifully.

I created this page with the Echo Park, Stars and Stripes Forever Collection designed by my talented friend, Lori Whitlock. It's filled with iconic images of the American flag, fireworks, stars, balloons, and the classic red, white, and blue color scheme.

I started with a 12x12 sheet of Bazzill cardstock in Admiral and layered the Spirited Stars print on top. I cut different sized flag shapes using a mix of 12x12 and 6x6 papers, then layered them along the top. Next, I finished the edge with the striped scalloped border sticker from the 12x12 sticker sheet (links below).

I embellished the page with more stickers from the 12x12 sheet and added two photo mats that are perfect for your special photos. 

For the journaling spot above, I cut one of the 3x4 cards into a tag shape and tucked it under the photo mat. I added a cute twine bow, the One Nation Under God ephemera die cut, and the jar of flowers sticker.

NEW! Go Wild Explore Scrapbook Album Kit

Happy Friday and ... Happy National Road Trip Day! It's that time of year when everyone is looking forward to hitting the road and kicking off the summer season with fun adventures. So today, I have the perfect mini album for those memories. It's titled Go Wild Explore and I designed it with a brand NEW style of scrapbook. It has a crazy amount of fun interactive elements inside and I think you're going to love it!

The chipboard album is by 49 & Market and called the Landscape Foundations Mixed Up Album. It's 8.5" x 6.5" x 2.75" and packed with layers (and layers!) of fold-outs and flip-ups.

I also used the Echo Park Into The Wild Collection that's filled with nature, trees, camping gear, mountains, woodland animals, campfires, paw prints, stars, and more. Perfect for highlighting your outdoor photos.

Inside, there are 4 main pages that really transform into what I'd say are 16 pages. Above, is the first one and it's a gate-fold page. Wrapped around the center is a belly band with a cute photo mat and a magnetic closure on the back side. Once you take off the belly band and open the 2 navy blue gate-fold pages, you see ...

 

 

... all of this! There are 3 spaces covered in cute printed papers that are perfect for photos AND a flippie in the center with space for 2 more pictures.

 

Here's a look at the backside of that gate-fold page. You can see the belly band with its magnetic closure. It's such a fun little extra element. Then, underneath the band are ...

... 2 more flippies! I told you these pages were packed. This mini album has space for at least 40+ photos.

Whether you vacation at the lake, rent a cabin in the mountains, camp out in a national park, or take an RV trip across country ... this mini album is a must have!

What about using this for your child's summer camp pictures? How cute! Add pictures of them with their friends, their cabin, canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, horseback riding, bonfires, smores, and swimming. What a perfect keepsake.

Do you love spending time hiking, boating, fishing, tubing, or simply biking through nature? Be sure to capture the beautiful views, the waterfalls, and the wildlife too. These are the fun moments that make up your vacation or weekend life, so ... be sure to document them and save them right here.

Look at this amazing page. Not only does it fold out in almost every flippin' (lol) direction, but it also has a folding card in the center! There are layers, upon layers, upon layers and it's all so much fun!

 

I didn't forget the pockets! This mini has two for saving extra photos, tickets, postcards, brochures, small maps, or a few pressed flowers from your amazing hike.

Graduation Pocket Gift Card Holder with Video

Hi crafters! Today, I’m sharing my latest Lori Whitlock Design Team Project. It's a cute mini album made of pocket pages that are sized perfectly for gift cards, a sweet note, photos, tickets, or money. I created mine with a graduation theme, but ... you could embellish this for ANY occasion! And, I've added a VIDEO below so you could see just how easy this was to make.

I chose one of Lori's amazing cutting files called Scalloped Pocket Gift Card Album and decorated it with paper and ephemera from the Bella Blvd, Cap and Gown Collection (product links below).

But ... you could change up the theme and make it for a birthday, Father's Day, a bridal shower, new baby, a house warming, a child when they lose their first tooth, Christmas / Hanukkah, Easter, or Mother's Day.

The cutting file is one pocket page but you could cut as many as you'd like. I made 4 so that I could add a variety of gift cards and notes.

Each page has a self closing pocket that will securely hold your gift cards or other items. At the bottom of each, there are 2 holes where you thread a piece of ribbon or twine to bind the book.

Some gift cards ideas for a new graduate might be - Amazon, Target, Starbucks, Best Buy, a gas station, restaurant, or movie theater. The amounts don't need to be large. This is just a fun way to surprise them.

This is also a great idea for dad on Father's Day. Decorate it with a different theme and add gift cards to Home Depot, Dick's Sporting Goods, Bass Pro Shop, his favorite restaurant, or a golf shop.

I embellished each page (front and back) with die cut pieces, but ... you could add photo mats and pictures instead for a more personalized design.

NEW! Travel Suitcase Shaped Scrapbook Album

Hey guys, it's Funday Friday and I have lots of new goodies for you today in the shop!  First, I've added the instructions for my Graduation Scrapbook, and ... the black acrylic mini album that goes with it. This album includes an updated "Class of 2024" acrylic title so you can create a wonderful keepsake for your graduate's photos. I've also added the instructions for my 12x12 Graduation Layouts. These fun pages make a great addition to any album. 

And last but not least, I've added this little cutie!! It's my NEW suitcase shaped mini album titled Vacation and it's perfect for all kinds of amazing travel memories.

This adorable little album is 7x5 inches and includes 2 covers made of 1/8" thick black acrylic. I used a Doodlebug cutting file to create the fun shape and added the acrylic "Vacation" title designed by Sarah Bailey.

I decorated it with papers from several Bella Blvd collections that include One Fall Day, Tiny Tots 2.0, and Bella Besties. I also used a few Doodlebug, Down On The Farm prints. And the embellishments ... they're Bella Blvd's Time To Travel Ephemera. I love mixing and matching!

Did you see the clear acrylic luggage tag charm I added? You could back this with a pretty patterned paper or leave it as it. Either way, it's super cute and I love the little detail.

Inside, there are 12 pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 1 pocket page, 5 flippies (see one above), and space for 30 of your favorite vacation photos. 

Summer is just around the corner and I hope everyone has a fun trip planned with friends or family. It's always nice to have travel plans to look forward to. We all deserve that every now and then.

So, whether you decide to relax on a beach, enjoy a little R&R at a spa retreat, embark on an outdoor adventure, or travel abroad ... I hope you take lots of photos and save those memories here in this cute suitcase shaped scrapbook.

Check out the fun elements I added to the page above. There's a flippie with a journaling spot on the front and space inside for 1 photo. BUT THEN, when you lift up that flippie you'll also see ...

Tah dahhhh! There's a colorful tri-fold card underneath that has space for 5 more photos! So, in total ... this 1 page has space for 6 photos and a journaling spot for dates, locations, names, events, or notes. Well, that's a very practical mini album page, don't ya think? Lol!

How cute is this pocket page? I love the rainbow striped paper, the vintage style Volkswagen bus, and all those fun journaling cards and photo mats tucked inside.  

You could also use this pocket to save memorabilia like postcards, hotel stationary, travel stickers, brochures, tickets, a small map, business cards, foreign currency, or a matchbook from your favorite restaurant or bar.

Cruise Mini Album & Altoids Tin - May Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Hello my friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's May Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site too because she has a sale and more great products for you!

For my project today, I made a micro sized, accordion style mini album that fits inside a 3.75" x 2.25" Altoids tin. It's so cute and such a fun little project. I made one a few years ago with a Birthday Dragon theme. I loved it so much that I thought it was time for a new version. Take a look ...

I created this with Lori's awesome cutting file called Altered Altoids Tin with Mini Album (link below). I also used the Echo Park Magical Voyage Collection and gave it a cruise vacation theme. However, you could use ANY paper collection to customize it for your needs. 

I have so many ideas for this little cutie! 

⭐ Give this to someone as a creative way of telling them you're taking them on a cruise. Add tickets, clues, or notes. 

⭐ This would make a great gift idea filled with gift cards, small photos, pins, jewelry, candy, etc.

⭐ Use these as table gifts or name cards for a cruise dinner. Each person could add their own photos to the mini album to remember the event.

⭐ It would also make a fun little treat for a child during a cruise.

Here's how I made it ... For the sweet little tin, I covered the exterior with the 12x12 Sail Away Stripes paper and embellished with some puffy and cardstock stickers from the 12x12 sheet.

Inside, I added more fun embellishments and the adorable little scrapbook album. It fits perfectly with rounded corners.

I used 6x6 papers for the mini and I'm loving the way the smaller sized prints look on it. It has 5 little pocket pages, 5 tags, and space for 15 photos. I also added some die cut pieces to the pockets for fun!

On the other side, the pages have stickers and perfect spots for photos.
