Laughter is the Best Medicine Scrapbook Mini Album

Hey guys! Doodlebug's NEW Happy Healing Collection is in the house! 🎉 As soon as it arrived, I was filled with ideas so I created 3 super FUN kits ... a mini album, greeting cards, AND 12x12 layouts. Today for my Design Team Project, I'm sharing the adorable Laughter is the Best Medicine Mini Album. This and the card kit will be available in my shop tomorrow (Friday). The 12x12 layout kit is coming soon, so ... stay tuned!

Because this collection has die cuts for a variety of medical situations, my cute mini album could be used for lots of different photos, like ...

⭐ documenting your child's medical history. Add photos of their pediatrician, check-ups, immunizations, a broken arm, chicken pox, poison ivy, a black eye, the flu, stitches, or a sports injury. 

⭐ a medical situation where someone would like to document their journey and recovery. This could include a surgery (knee, shoulder, back, carpal tunnel, etc), a car accident, or a cancer diagnosis and treatment. For many, this can be very cathartic.

⭐ a student going through medical school. Add photos of their classmates, study time, labs, the hospital, their school, professors, a clinical rotation, graduation, passing the boards, a residency, or a fellowship.

⭐ experiences that include donating blood, physical therapy, covid, a hospital stay, x-rays, and crutches.

⭐ dental work, a child's dental visits (cleaning or braces), wisdom teeth being removed, or any oral surgery. 

This would also make an amazing handmade gift for a nurse, doctor, pharmacist, an EMT, or anyone in the medical field!

Now, the fun details ... I created this with a new 4.25" x 8.25" custom white acrylic album. I designed the front cover to be narrower than the pages and back cover, so ... cute papers and embellies can peek out the side!

On the cover, I added the fun Pill Better Shaker-pops, lots of adorable die cuts with happy faces, and a pretty celery green chevron ribbon. Also, notice the cute detail down the side of the album - I added colorful tabs on the edge of the pages.

Doodlebug can make absolutely anything cute ... even germs, lol! So, I added a few to this first page. The album has 12+ pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 3 flippies, and space for 30+ photos.

This next page is made of a transparent acetate covered in silver metallic hearts. There are lots of pretty foil accents in this collection and I LOVE the shimmer it adds.

Pockets are great for adding memorabilia, like ... a hospital bracelet, a doctor's business card, pressed flowers from a bouquet someone sent you, a tag from a gift, or a small get well drawing your child made you.

I've also added some die cut pieces that are perfect for journaling. Add notes, medications, immunization dates, a doctor's or nurse's name, phone numbers, or records of blood pressure, heart rate, or weight.

Check out the fine print on the little x-ray die cut above. If you look closely, the doctor's name is Dr. Will Fixya and the patient's name is I.M. Hurt. Lol!

Here's another cute journaling spot that's also an interactive flippie. Add a few photos inside to go along with your handwriting.

I love this fold-out page with the colorful hearts and scalloped cloud sticker that acts as a tab. The little band-aid on its forehead is ah-dorable!
