Isn't she pretty? These colors are so fresh. I designed it with a 6x8 inch Simple Stories binder in robin's egg blue and the fabulous Echo Park Love Notes Collection. There are hearts, flowers, love letters, mailboxes, a car, a wreath, hot air balloons, banners, flags, and even some chocolate strawberries.

Ohhhhh, this cover is so cute with the pink gingham print, the little heart banner, and the red & white ribbon.

Inside, there are 24 beautiful pages. I love the powder pink heart paper on this page. It's so soft and such a nice contrast with the darker flowers and the splash of minty green. 

There are 3 fold-outs and 5 flippies in this mini and both fun elements were added to the page above. The flippie has a cute journaling spot on the outside and inside, space for 2 photos. When you open the page ...

... you have a gorgeous mix of pretty pattern papers! The flowers, the hearts, and the cute balloons - yes, yes, and yesssss!!

8x8 December Christmas Layouts with Doodlebug

Hi friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. I made these December 8x8 pages for my granddaughter's monthly scrapbook and they're filled with the adorable Gingerbread Kisses Collection. As you may remember, I document our fun moments together in a Doodlebug Storybook Album. Each month, I make 4 new pages and at the end of the year ... I have the sweetest keepsake!

I love this first page. I used the cute 12x12 Hello Santa paper in the background. Then, I made 2 folding cards (aka flippies) for photos & added the December title to one of them using Alphabet Soup stickers in ladybug. 

The other 2 spaces are decorative. The little Christmas tree is a die-cut from the Odds & Ends and I added lots of mini jewels to it for the ornaments.

Santa had to make an appearance so, I added the Hello Santa Doodle-pops. He's so cute! I layered him (and the Christmas tree) on top of the Sugar Sprinkles acetate and embellished with more sparkly jewels.

For the second page, I trimmed one of the journaling cards from the Deck the Halls paper and added it to the vertical space on the left. It's perfect for notes, dates, a Christmas list, or ... a memorable story!

 

The string lights are so fun and colorful and made a perfect photo mat for the top of my flippie. Inside, I added feminine pink hearts with the Berry Floral paper.

Check out the Gingerbread Express truck from the Odds & Ends. With some mini jewels for string lights and a few enamel peppermint candy sprinkles on the tires ... Santa has a fancy new ride!

Rylee and I love baking together so this collection is perfect for us. On this page, I used the colorful Sugarplums paper to make a photo mat and added a few tags from the Season's Greetings print. These are amazing - so many fun ones to choose from!

I embellished with a baking die cut from the Odds & Ends and a few gingerbread puffy stickers. Love these little cookies!

This page has lots of great photo space with 3 mats and a cute little flippie. I made it with a card that I trimmed down from the Holiday Sprinkles print. It's so "merry & bright"!

Christmas Money Holders with Lori Whitlock Designs

Happy Thursday friends! With Christmas only 4 days away, I've been looking for fun ways to give cash and gift cards, instead of just handing the kids an envelope.  Lori Whitlock has amazing ideas for gifting projects.  Even though I normally give gift cards, I saw these cute money holders and decided to mix it up this year! Cash for the win!

How cute are these??  They are larger than I thought they would be, which makes the presentation even more fun! 

These are SUPER easy to make!  Just group the colors on your "mat" in the software, and add 6x6 squares of paper on the 4 corners of your cutting mat.  I prefer to do this to cut multiple colors/shapes at one time.  It saves paper and time!

The cutting file makes this cute little cut out that folds up to hold the money.  The hole is about 1/4" round so be sure to roll the money tightly to fit through the holes.  I used a thin metal rod (less than 1/4" thick) to roll my bill. You may be able to tightly roll the money using a pencil or thin straw, etc.  Then just tuck the roll into the holder and your gift is ready!!  SO much cuter than handing the recipient an envelope!

 

 Here are a few more ideas:

 

Tie a ribbon on the top and hang it from the tree!

Tape it to the top of a present for an added cash/gift tag!

Tuck this little cutie into a stocking!

Add it in a Secret Santa bag!

Or you could always mail it, of course :)

NEW! Snow Place Like Home Winter Scrapbook Album

Happy Friday scrappers! It's time for another NEW kit and today's album is all about winter, family, and home. As the weather gets colder, we'll be spending more time indoors snuggled up in cozy sweaters, sipping warm tea, and ... crafting! Yay! So, I have just the project for you. It's an acrylic mini album titled Snow Place Like Home and it's perfect for your winter memories.

I designed this with a beautiful Echo Park collection titled Snowed In. It has pretty snowflakes, flowers, lots of snow gear, mountains, trees, ski equipment, sleds, and cute little houses. And I'm loving this color palette with soft shades of blue and green!

I also used one of my custom Acrylic Tall 4.5" x 6.5" Albums in white. It has 20 pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 8 flippies, and space for 30+ photos.

This mini is the perfect size for photos of a winter vacation, skiing, playing in the snow, building a snowman, or a winter family photo shoot. You can also add pictures of scrapping with friends, playing games with the littles, or an afternoon of baking.

Add photos from a crisp winter hike and the beautiful snow covered landscape you see along the way. What about a backyard bonfire, making s'mores, and enjoying time with friends?

I love the folding card above. My granddaughter is a huge fan of the Frozen movie - ♫♬ Do you wanna build a snowman? ♬♫ This would be a great page for photos of fun in the snow, building a snowman or a fort, sledding, snowboarding, tubing, or ice skating! Inside the flippie ...

... there are 2 cute little houses and Tis the Season to be freezin' (lol!). 

The pockets are perfect for saving extra photos, journaling cards, or memorabilia like ... lift tickets from a ski trip, a postcard from your travels, your favorite winter recipe, a meaningful greeting card, or a brochure / business card from a fun activity.

This would make a fabulous Christmas or birthday gift for someone special, especially if they've recently taken a winter vacation or have one planned.
