Honey Jar Shaped Mini Album with Lori Whitlock

Hi friends! Today, I'm sharing a cute honey & bee themed project I made for Lori Whitlock's blog. I used one of her brand new cutting files called Honey Jar card (links below) and turned it into a mini album. I love making shaped minis and can turn almost anything into one ... including a fantastic jar shaped card! 💛

I started with the cutting file base. Using black card stock, I cut the shape out 3 times. Then, instead of folding the pieces along the center score line to make the card, I cut along the line to make 2 pieces. That gave me 6 pieces (or pages) total but, I actually only used 5 of them for my album.  

Once I had the black base pages cut out, I created an internal offset in my Silhouette software. I used the offset to cut out 10 cute pattern papers to layer on the base pages.

 

I chose pretty pattern papers from the 6x6 pad in Lori's new Echo Park Bee Happy Collection (links below). I love how all of the patterns look layered together when the album is fanned out :)

Lori's Nested Scallop circles (links below) make great photo mats. I punched out 2.5" round circles for inside the scallop shape. Perfect for some of your favorite pictures. Then, I embellished each page with stickers and die cuts from the Bee Happy Collection.

 

This adorable bee / honey theme is so wonderfully generic, you could use this mini for photos of ...

This one has small flowers in the lower left corner of the jar but I just trimmed those off for my album.
