Happy Friday everyone! I have something completely different and exciting for you today! It's titled Beautiful Memories and it's a brand new style of album that I've never used before. It's more like a folio!
This would be perfect for photos of everyday moments, family and friends, a spring bridal shower or a wedding, a birthday, your beautiful garden, or a visit to a butterfly farm. It would also make an amazing gift. It's wonderful for Mother's Day or as a thank you present for someone special.
To purchase the instructions for this project visit:
I used the new Simple Stories, Life in Bloom Collection (links below) and it's gorgeous! It's filled with pretty shades of pink and aqua with a splash of black. There are lots of dreamy images of butterflies and flowers balanced with vintage pictures of 35mm cameras, film, and typewriter keys.
The album/folio is by Graphic 45 and it measures approx. 6.125" x 9" x 1.625". It reminds me of book box.
It ties closed on the side with a pretty gingham ribbon. The inside of the front cover and the first page both have magnets that also help keep it together. Isn't the cover beautiful? I love the tiny polka dots, flowers, and the butterflies that look like they're hovering over the paper.
When you open the cover, this is the first page you see. This is where the 2nd magnet is hidden. This print is gorgeous. The typewriter text in the background looks like an old page out of a book and the camera and flowers resemble a beautiful painting.
The album is a little like a tri-fold. The cover opens to the left and the first page above, opens to the right.
This is the center space that's filled with lots of interactive elements. I'm holding one of the center pages. It's a pocket page and inside is a cream photo mat with a butterfly brad on the top. I love how the brad fits perfectly in the little cut out. Flip this page over and ...
... you'll see the back side of that pocket page. It has more space for photos and a pretty aqua butterfly. There are also additional smaller pocket pages with cards tucked inside for journaling or more pictures. To the right side of the photo above, you can see the very center part of the folio. It has 4 flaps that lift up, down, to the right and to the left. I'm telling you ... this is like peeling a super beautiful onion with layers of pages and pockets to discover!
And ... this is what's under all those flaps. It's a flippin' (lol) WATERFALL element!! This folio just keeps on giving! I've added lots of feminine papers to each page so all it's gorgeousness is on display! And speaking of gorgeous ... that butterfly print is everything.
Here's a close up just so you can appreciate the colors and images a little better.
I added this smaller pocket to one of the pages on the right side. I feel like I'm "living my best life" playing with these brand new products! And I think you will too - this folio is so much fun to put together.
This is such an interesting and
interactive scrapbook to save your photos in. The style is really
unique and would make a fabulous handmade gift for anyone!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today & happy scrappin'!
