Hello friends! Often I'll share a calendar page and people ask where they can get the calendar that I used as the base. Doodlebug makes them! The one I used in this project is from the Daily Doodles Collection but the newest version is called Day to Day (links below). Today, I'm sharing a cute December page and some crafty ideas on how to decorate them with stamps, stickers, gems, papers, and die cuts!
I designed this one with the Doodlebug Candy Cane Lane Collection but
you can use ANY line and mix it up depending on the season. I cut and
layered strips of pretty 12x12 pattern paper to the top and the bottom
of the page and ... a piece of red scalloped washi tape.
The monthly title stickers are included with the calendar pages. I matted it with a bright red paper and added the cute house die cuts from the Chit Chat on both sides.
The
days of the week are already printed on the calendar so I just added
some colorful mini jewels to that section for a little holiday sparkle. I
chose a few holiday prints from the 6x6 paper pack and covered some of
the squares. You could always add a sweet photo to these spots or keep
them as is.
I
used a bunch of fun stamps in this project, too! I added a suitcase to
indicate traveling, a wedding cake for my son's special day, and a
balloon for a birthday. I don't do it often enough but I love
incorporating stamps into projects. I forget how fun it is until I do
it! Lol!
The stamps I used were Doodle Stamps - occasions everyday and occasions holiday.
I
embellished the heck out of this layout and had so much fun doing it!
The mini icon stickers are the perfect size for the squares. I also used
the new puffy icons (which I just adore!!), and the Alphabet Soup puffy
number stickers in limeade.
For
the dates, I used a combination of stamped numbers (using the Doodle
Stamps - calendar typewriter), puffy number stickers, and I left some
blank. I just thought it was more interesting this way.
My calendar page has a happy home on my refrigerator until the end of the month. You could also frame it and hang it on the wall. Once the month is over, I'll add it to my scrapbook and it will be the first page for December in my album.
