Check out the little envelopes and those teeny tiny embellishments. So, so cute! I loved choosing all the different 6x6 and 12x12 patterned papers, die cuts, and stickers for this project.
I wanted little pockets or something, then remembered I had the Love Notes Doodle Cuts metal die set. The envelope I used was 2" x 1.25" (larger one on the card) so 25 envelopes (5 rows of 5) would fit perfectly. I cut, folded, and glued one for each day leading up to and including Christmas.
I created my base by layering three different 12x12 prints called Snow Bright, Holiday Lights, and Christmas Sprinkles. Next, I arranged my envelopes until I had them laid out evenly.
It needed something in between the rows of envelopes so, I cut and added scalloped strips from the 12x12 print called Festive Flowers.
I cut 25 white mats to 1.25" x 1.75" and tucked one inside each of the envelopes. These make a perfect spot for thoughtful notes. Or ... it would be really fun to add a clue or riddle! Then you could send people on a mini treasure hunt each day for a little surprise. You could hide a sweet treat, a small toy, tickets to an event, or even small photos from the day!
Then ... it was time to embellish. I couldn't wait to use Candy Candy Lane's puffy shapes icons! There are Santas, presents, flowers, reindeer, Christmas trees, snowmen, & holly. I love every single one of them!
To keep track of the days, I added numbers to each envelope using puffy Alphabet Soup stickers in ladybug, swimming pool, limeade, bumblebee, and lily white.
At the bottom, I added some really cute die cuts from the Odds & Ends and the Christmas title from Chit Chat.
After the holiday, save this layout in a clear page protector and add it to your scrapbook. It's a perfect way to remember the fun you and your family had counting down the days until Christmas.💗
