Hey guys! Today is National Take a Hike Day! Time to get outside, breathe in the fresh air, enjoy the view, and get our bodies moving. With over 60,000 miles of trails in the National Trail System across our 50 states, there is no lack of opportunity to take a hike. And recently, I did just that. Check out my 12x12 scrapbook page that shares a few fun photos from our day!
I used the Simple Stories, Simple Vintage Lakeside Collection. I started with the 12x12 paper called Aquamarine and added a 5x12 inch strip of green paper (called On Lake Time) to the right side. Then trimmed down the Great Outdoors paper to 11.5 x 11.5 inches and added that on top.
I cut lots of mats for my photos, then layered them. The square sizes are 3 1/8", 3", and 2.75". The butterfly and blue heart are from the 12x12 sticker sheet and the arrow is a foam sticker.
The Take the Trails is another foam sticker and it's perfect for adding a little more dimension to my page. The frog, mushroom and dragonflies are stickers from the 12x12 cardstock sticker sheet.
I cut out a card from the 12x12 Journal Elements, added a few more stickers (love the cute turtle), and then a few pretty colored brads. And finito!
What do you think? Is it making you want to venture outside? We had a great day and I hope you'll find a pretty park or nature trail to explore while the weather is still nice. I've listed the product links below. Happy scrapping & National Take A Hike Day!!
