Hey friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's September Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site because she has a sale, a giveaway and an awesome freebie for you!
For my project today, I created the cutest box card for Halloween using one of Lori's wonderful cutting files called Shadow Box Card Scene Bat (links below). This makes a great holiday card for family, a friend, a co-worker, a neighbor, or a teacher. You could also hide it in your littles backpack or lunch box for them to find. What a fun surprise!
The orange & purple patterned papers are from the Echo Park, All About A Girl collection - also designed by Lori. I love these prints. A little bit of pattern but not too crazy and the colors are perfect for the holiday! I also used white, black, light grey (for the tombstones) and dark grey solid colored cardstock.
All of the pieces are cut out using Lori's file and the bat, spooktacular banner and ghost are print and cuts. I popped the bat up on some foam tape to give it a little dimension.
There is space in between the layers to slide a sweet little note, a fun photo, a gift card, or money. But since there's no bottom to the card, you would need to add a little tape to keep it in place.
The card folds flat so it can be put in an envelope, sent through the mail or stored as a memento. Lori has so many awesome cutting files, I hope you'll give this one a try. Below are the product links. Have a great day!
There are more inspiring projects to see today so ... be sure to hop to each blog! Your next stop today is Anita's site!
