Hey scrappers! Sunday was National Ice Cream Day and it got me thinking about how cute an ice cream truck mini album would be. So ... I made one! You could add photos of an ice cream party, a trip to the ice cream shop with the kiddos, a birthday, or an evening at a food truck festival!
Isn't it cute and kinda funny? I don't know why but this one made me laugh. I designed it using a cutting file from Doodlebug's Sweet Summer collection called Ice Cream Truck (link below). I cut the truck shaped album covers out of white acrylic but you could use cardstock instead.
I chose a colorful mix of papers. I used prints from Doodlebug's Sweet Summer collection and Bella Blvd's, Besties Graph/Dot and Hearts/Ombre. On the cover, the little scalloped border sticker with rainbow dots is from the Sweet Summer This and That. I used mini icon stickers for the ice cream in the window and some foam tape behind the awning to give it dimension.
On this page, I used the Bella Besties Graph paper in Gulf for the background, then added a flower mat and the ice cream cart die cut from the Sweet Summer Odds and Ends.
This Gulf Ombre paper is double sided and has cute hearts on the reverse side. I love great patterns that can do double duty! The fun saying is something me and my cousins use to chant when we were on our way to the ice cream shop during family vacations. So, I had to add that, lol! It's from the Sweet Summer Chit Chat.
I'm loving the pink color (called punch) of the Bella Besties Heart paper. It looks so cute with the pretty plaid. Added a few more die cuts and ... another page is ready for a photo!
Here, I layered 2 Bella Besties in Dot (Cotton Candy) and Graph (Gulf), then I made a super cute flippie with a 4x3 inch card. Inside, there an even tinier ice cream print! It's adorable!
This is a great page to show you how you could make a food truck album with ANY theme using different papers. So, if you go to a festival or "Food Truck Friday" with friends, you could have a Mexican themed page, or burgers, noodles, or cupcakes! I personally love the cocktails, lol! But use your imagination, be creative and make these pages appropriate for your photos.
What ever theme you choose, this little album would make a great place for your memories. Below are some of the products I used that are still available. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
