NEW! Where The Wild Thing Are Scrapbook Album
Happy Friday! Today, I have a new scrapbook called Where The Wild Things Are and it's filled with butterflies, ferns and all things found in nature. It's perfect for photos of any outdoor adventure like a summer vacation, time spent at the lake, hiking in the woods, boating, and enjoying the fresh air.
I designed and cut this beautiful 6x8 inch album out of wood (perfect for a nature album) and used a sturdy, heavy-weight cream card stock for the inside pages. I always use high quality materials in my albums so they're sure to last as long as your memories do, lol!
I used the Simple Stories Vintage Lakeside Collection and I love how organic and natural it feels. The papers have images of leaves, mushrooms, butterflies, ducks, fish, moose, bears, plaids, and stripes. The colors are earthy and include green, brown, terracotta, teal, and sky blue.
This album could be used for lots of different photos but I thought it would be perfect for a summer trip to the lake. Ahhhh, so peaceful. Time to unplug from our busy lives and enjoy Mother Earth.
Add pictures of the cabin your staying at, the sunrise, and the beautiful views from the porch. Take a morning hike and get photos of the waterfall, streams, changing foliage, and selfies with your hiking buddy. With 12 pages (6 double-sided) and space for 30+ photos, there's plenty of room for your special moments.
If you're camping ... awesome! Add photos of your campsite, tent or RV, time spent exploring, building a campfire, roasting marshmallows, story telling, and star gazing at night.
This would also be great for your kids sleepaway camp pictures. Fun times with friends and all the outdoor activities could be saved here for an amazing keepsake for them.
If you live at the lake and spend a lot of time boating ... you need this album. Add memories of family gatherings, an afternoon on the boat, tubing with the littles, or a weekend of fishing with friends.
The kit comes with lots of foam stickers like the "Lake Life" one above so, you'll have extras left over. Create this album exactly like I did, or ... change up the titles to suit your needs. Be creative and have fun with it!
Check out this kraft colored envelope. It's perfect for storing extra photos, journaling cards, or notes. You can also add small memorabilia like a map, business cards, or brochures from a fun activity (river rafting, tubing, ATV rides, etc.).
I hope you're enjoying some time away in nature this summer. Thanks for stopping by the blog today & happy scrappin'!
Update: This kit has sold out but the instructions are available in my shop. They are simple, step-by-step, and include measurements and full color photos of each page. Links for the instructions and the products used are below. Happy scrappin'!

My Happy Place Acrylic Album with Doodlebug
Hey friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. It uses the adorable My Happy Place Collection, a Shadow Box Insert Kit, and my own black Acrylic Circle Window Album. The instructions and the black acrylic album are available in my shop (links below). This project is perfect for photos of family, friends and fun times at home.
I
started with my 8x8 inch black acrylic album but you could make this out of chipboard or card stock. The circle cut-out on the cover is the perfect size for this wonderful round sticker collage.
Look how cute this is with the colorful little images, rhinestone gems, and the tiny enamel sprinkles. I love it!!
Have you had a chance to play with these Shadow Box Insert Kits yet? If not ... I highly recommend. The kit comes with a circle template, card stock, vellum and tons of stickers to create this collage. It's so much fun. You place the stickers on the vellum with the help of a template behind it. I love these. This is my fourth album using them. (Instructions for those are available in my shop as well.)
The pages inside are filled with My Happy Place cuteness. This one has a folding element for extra photo space. When you flip open the side panel, it looks like this ...
I added die cuts from the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat. I love the house with the flower covered roof and that yellow polka dot car. Wouldn't this mat be perfect for a family photo?
I used a pretty mix of prints on the pocket page above and included some 4x4 element cards to the pocket. You can add photos to the backside of these or use them for journaling.
This mini album is super fun to make and this paper collection is so happy. It's bright and cheerful and it has everything you need to highlight your family photos. It even has die cuts for your sweet furry friends!
If you'd like to recreate this scrapbook ... the acrylic circle window album and the instructions are in my shop (links below). I also have other themes that include Halloween, Disney, Baby, and Recipe. Happy scrappin'!

Wallet Mini Album with Lori Whitlock
Hey there! If you follow me, then you know I love making mini albums. All shapes, all sizes, all themes ... love, love, love. So for my project today, I made a mini using one of Lori's cutting files that's in the shape of an adorable little wallet. This is so cute and interactive, soooo yeah ... it's right up my alley! I've added a video at the bottom of the page - so be sure to check it out. 💗
I chose the Echo Park, All About A Girl Collection, also designed by Lori Whitlock. The pattern papers in this collection are so pretty with flowers, rainbows, plaids, and bows. And to create the little closure, I added 2 brads and some yellow twine.
The wallet is a tri-fold and once it's opened you'll see it has 3 sections. The top part has space for 3 small photos and the middle section has two fold-out pages that open up to either side.
Look how cute these are with these girly prints! Each side holds 6 photos on the front and back.
You can add a larger photo or 2 smaller ones to the center pink photo mat and down below, 2 little pockets!
I added pieces from the Ephemera Frames and Tags to each pocket. Die cut shapes with fun sayings are perfect for journaling on. Just flip them over and add dates, names, locations or sweet stories about the event or photo.
Lori has so many awesome cutting files to play with and I hope you'll give this one a try. Have fun!

Ice Cream Truck Mini Album
Hey scrappers! Sunday was National Ice Cream Day and it got me thinking about how cute an ice cream truck mini album would be. So ... I made one! You could add photos of an ice cream party, a trip to the ice cream shop with the kiddos, a birthday, or an evening at a food truck festival!
Isn't it cute and kinda funny? I don't know why but this one made me laugh. I designed it using a cutting file from Doodlebug's Sweet Summer collection called Ice Cream Truck (link below). I cut the truck shaped album covers out of white acrylic but you could use cardstock instead.
I chose a colorful mix of papers. I used prints from Doodlebug's Sweet Summer collection and Bella Blvd's, Besties Graph/Dot and Hearts/Ombre. On the cover, the little scalloped border sticker with rainbow dots is from the Sweet Summer This and That. I used mini icon stickers for the ice cream in the window and some foam tape behind the awning to give it dimension.
On this page, I used the Bella Besties Graph paper in Gulf for the background, then added a flower mat and the ice cream cart die cut from the Sweet Summer Odds and Ends.
This Gulf Ombre paper is double sided and has cute hearts on the reverse side. I love great patterns that can do double duty! The fun saying is something me and my cousins use to chant when we were on our way to the ice cream shop during family vacations. So, I had to add that, lol! It's from the Sweet Summer Chit Chat.
I'm loving the pink color (called punch) of the Bella Besties Heart paper. It looks so cute with the pretty plaid. Added a few more die cuts and ... another page is ready for a photo!
Here, I layered 2 Bella Besties in Dot (Cotton Candy) and Graph (Gulf), then I made a super cute flippie with a 4x3 inch card. Inside, there an even tinier ice cream print! It's adorable!
This is a great page to show you how you could make a food truck album with ANY theme using different papers. So, if you go to a festival or "Food Truck Friday" with friends, you could have a Mexican themed page, or burgers, noodles, or cupcakes! I personally love the cocktails, lol! But use your imagination, be creative and make these pages appropriate for your photos.
What ever theme you choose, this little album would make a great place for your memories. Below are some of the products I used that are still available. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
