July 4th Acrylic Scrapbook Album + Fun Activity Ideas

Hello friends! Today, I have another 4th of July project to share with you! It's an acrylic mini album that I made last year. I never made it into a kit but after receiving many requests for the instructions ... I've decided to add them to the shop along with the clear acrylic album! Don't you just love Fridays?

This all-American project is perfect for your fun weekend photos. Need a few ideas of some July 4th activities? Keep scrolling to read some suggestions and see the inside of this cutie!

I made this with one of my 6x6 inch clear acrylic albums and Doodlebug's adorable Land That I Love Collection.

Now for the fun activities!

Gather the neighbors for a fun block party. Have a cookout and be creative with you food choices. Plan for some red, white and blue colored treats like cupcakes, cookies, candies, an ice cream bar or mini pies (hmmm, pie eating contest!).

Make some fun DIY patriotic decorations like centerpieces, a wreath, or hang some flags in the trees. Be sure to take photos of everything.

Plan a few outdoor games in the yard like volleyball, horse shoes, cornhole, water balloons or ... baseball (ya can’t get more American than baseball!). Set up a sprinkler for the littles to play in. 

Spend the day (or the weekend) at the beach. Enjoy the sunshine, go swimming, relax on a float, look for seashells, lounge under an umbrella, have a picnic or BBQ and spend time with family or friends.

As the evening arrives, create a beach side bonfire, roast hot dogs, make smores, and light some sparklers or fireworks.

If you live near a lake - spend the afternoon boating, fishing or tubing.

Attend a small town festival or a parade. Parades are such a fun event and a great way to show your patriotism. I mean, who doesn't love a marching band, decorative floats, fun costumes and huge balloons? The clowns ... mmmm, they can be hit or miss depending on who you talk to, lol. But what great memories and pictures you'll have!

And last but not least ... the evening's fireworks. Look online for the local display or create your own in the backyard and take pictures.

OOAK July 4th America Scrapbook Album

Hi guys! The July 4th holiday will be here soon and I have lots of fun patriotic projects to share with you this week. Today, I've added a OOAK (one-of-a-kind) red, white and blue mini album to the shop. It's pre-made so all you have to do is add your fun photos or ... give it as a really sweet gift! ❤️

I created this with my 5x7 inch Acrylic Tabbed Album (available in my shop) and the Echo Park America Collection. There are flags, fireworks, stars, flowers, and wood accents. I love the cute scalloped banner and all those little stickers on the cover. They're from the 12x12 sticker sheet.

Inside, there are 12 pages (6 double-sided) that include 5 flippies (like the one above) and 2 pockets.

There is space for 18 photos. Perfect for a fun weekend of memories. And isn't that floral paper pretty?

If you have plans to celebrate at someone's house, this would be a wonderful hostess gift for them. It makes a great keepsake to remember the holiday and shows them your appreciation. 

Or keep this album for yourself and fill it with photos of a 4th of July parade, festival, neighborhood party, BBQ, afternoon on the lake, day at the beach, boating, fireworks, and fun with your family and friends.

NEW! 12x12 Birthday Layouts

Happy Friday everyone! We made it to the end of the week and to celebrate ... I have 2 fun NEW projects for you! Yesterday, I shared my first kit - a new Friendship mini that's suuuuper cute! Did you see the little yellow car on it? Oh my gosh, it's my favorite part, lol! 

And today, I'm introducing a second newbie - 12x12 Birthday Page Layouts. And, look who's back! Those adorable little gnomes and they're ready for a party. These layouts come in TWO different color schemes - pink, green, and teal AND blue, red and yellow. First up ... the Birthday (Pink) Layouts.

I designed the pink version with the PhotoPlay collection called Tulla's Birthday. It's filled with images of Tulla, balloons, candles, cupcakes, party hats, birthday cake, presents, streamers, and so much more. 

The kit will make 6 pages that are perfect for any kind of birthday celebration whether it's a kids party, a small family get-together or a full on party that lasts all night. With space for 30 photos ... there's plenty of room.

I've included two flippies for extra photo space and my instructions will explain how to access these through a clear page protector. They are made with such cute cards!

So many good details on these pages with fun sayings (I love to party with my gnomies, lol!), a twine bow and colorful tags.

Next up, the Birthday (Blue) Layouts, made with the Norbert's Birthday Collection. This version has a different color scheme but all the same cuteness!

Fill these pages with photos of the birthday boy or girl, the party decorations, the birthday cake, blowing out the candles, presents, and all the family and friends that are there to celebrate.

Whether you choose the pink or blue version, they're both filled with great prints. My favorite ... the one with all the gnomes holding balloons, presents, and cake. It's like they're all here for the party and they brought stuff, lol!

These kits come with a 12x12 sticker sheet so you'll have extra stickers. You can put the pages together just like mine, or mix things up and customize them. There are even numbers so you can add the age.

Friendship Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this mini scrapbook with the Doodlebug, My Happy Place Collection and a 4x5 inch pocket & tag album by Graphic 45. This album style and size is one of my favorites. I always have so much fun with them!

 

I love how special this little cover is - the layers, the shapes, the colors, and those shiny enamel clouds. My favorite part ... the little yellow car! 💛 It's a Doodle-pops called Puddle Jumper (lol, so funny). It's whimsical and the perfect addition.

 

Every time I use one of these mini albums, I always say ... don't let the small size fool you. They're filled with so many fun elements that I call them mighty minis. Inside there are 8 pockets on the front of the pages. They're awesome for extra photos, journaling cards or colorful tags like the ones above. Then ...

... there are 4 more pockets along the edges. They are the perfect size for 3x4 element cards. I added little tabs to them to make them easy to pull out. Use the backside as a photo mat or for journaling. And check out the cute tag with the grommet and ribbon. There are 4 of these! What did I tell you? Mighty.

You could make this album all about your one best friend. Fill it with photos from all the years you've been together and watch your hairstyles, clothes, and make-up evolve! Make 2 albums, keep one for yourself and give the other as a sweet gift. What bestie wouldn't love this?!

 

Or ... add photos of your favorite group of fun loving friends. The more the merrier! It's perfect for photos of quiet get-togethers, crazy celebrations, and sweet selfies.

 

This would make a wonderful gift for someone of ANY age. I'm 56 and I love it so I think anyone would enjoy this keepsake. Think of mom, sister, or ... your child in high school or college!
