Fairy Good Friend Waterfall Scrapbook Album

Hey guys! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team project. It's a really pretty mini album titled Fairy Good Friend. I've been having fun with different types of waterfall albums lately and this one is a folio style, using the adorable Fairy Garden Collection. It's perfect for spring! 

Isn't the cover pretty? I'm loving that Pixie Plaid paper, the flower Doodle-pops, and the big bow! The album is 5x8 inches and I created the base of it out of white card stock and chipboard. I cut a 3" circle window in the front cover using my Silhouette machine, then cut a slightly larger circle (3.25") in the plaid paper that's layered on top. You could also use a die or circle punch to cut this out. 

Inside, I added the little purple dragonfly from the Bug Babies Doodle-pops, a 2x3 inch envelope, and a fabulous waterfall element filled with so many pretty papers! The white envelope is from the Lots of Love Cards and Envelopes Collection. I punched out a 3" scallop circle and trimmed it to fit on the flap. Then, I added a magnet so the it would stay shut.

I tucked a cute card inside the envelope that can be used for journaling, small photos, or a sweet note if you give this album as a gift. I decorated the card with paper from the Fairy Garden 6x6 paper pad. Is it just me or is everything even cuter when it's tiny?!

 

Here's a close-up of that pretty flower Doodle-pops. It's called Bright Bunch and it's from the Simply Spring Collection. I punched a 3" circle out of the Petite Prints Linen in swimming pool and a 2 1/2" white scallop circle and used them behind the Doodle-pops to mimic the circular window on the cover.

 

On this page, I included two more cards from the 6x6 Paper pad, cut a 3" circle out of the 12x12 Pink Posies paper, and added the butterfly icon sticker.

 

I used the Pink Posies print again on this page but in the smaller 6x6 version. The bright color is amazing and I love mixing the 6x6 and 12x12 pattern sizes. The cute mushroom house is a die cut from the Odds & Ends.

On this page, I added the scallop circle sticker from the This & That sheet. It says "you brighten my day" and ... I hope my project has brightened yours!
