Hey guys! Today is a great day to make someone you love a card and since Valentine's Day is coming up, I thought I'd share some cute holiday cards that my friend Gina made. These can be given to your sweetie, a friend, your children, parents, neighbor, or grandparents. Give one to a co-worker or put one inside your little's
school lunch. What a sweet way to let your loved ones know you're thinking of them.💕
Making cards can be a fun and simple project. They don't need to take a lot of time since they're small so, you can make a bunch quickly. These were all made with scraps from the Doodlebug, Lots of Love collection. I love this. Such a great way to use those extra pieces left over from larger projects.
All of these were made with white cardstock as the base, then embellished. This cute card uses Doodlebug's 12x12 polka dot print called Sprinkled with Love, some adorable Odds and Ends, and the "Love You Forever" tag from the Chit Chat. The band across the center is Petite Prints Linen in pink and the flower print is called All My Love (product links below).
Oh, I love these sweet animal die cuts! They're so cute! So to highlight them, Gina punched a 3 1/2" scalloped circle out of white paper and a 3" circle out of the red print called All My Love. It's the backside of that pretty flower print.
Next up is this fun little mail truck card. The truck is a die cut from the Odds and Ends and the circles were cut from various 12x12 papers using a 2" circle punch. I love the aqua color of the xoxox paper!
The round "Sending Lots of Love" die cut is from the Chit Chat and Gina added a little envelope to it from the sending love DoodlePop. Great detail. Along the bottom, she cut the heart shaped border out of the Love is in the Air red plaid using Doodlebug's All Occasion Doodle Cuts Borders and Edges (links below).
The white card above is a great example that these handmade cards don't need to be hard. She added 2 colorful prints and the round "Love You Bunches" sticker from the This and That on top. Easy and beautiful!
The card in front has a pretty aqua blue 6x6 print for the background. I just love all of those tiny hearts! Gina used a punch to cut the red scalloped heart and made the sentiment with a stamp from Doodlebug's All Occasion Love You Collection (link below).
These next 2 cards were made by simply layering different scraps of paper - mixing and matching 12x12 and 6x6 prints. The card on top uses a scalloped circle die cut from the Bits and Pieces, more hearts and another Love You stamp.
This last card may be my favorite. I love the adorable gift box and strawberry sticker. The pink linen paper was cut with a scallop die from Doodle Cuts Borders and Edges and another cute stamped sentiment was added to finish it off.
Big thanks to my great friend Gina for making these wonderful cards. I hope they inspire you to create your own handmade Valentines for someone special.💖
