NEW! December Documented Christmas Album

Hello friends! I can't believe it's already Friday. It's been a busy week here at Artsy Albums. New collections have arrived and I'm so excited to share what's ahead over the next month. But today, I'm introducing this week's NEW kit called December Documented. It's gorgeous!! Take a look ...

To purchase the instructions to make this album visit:

Whether you want to document every day in December or just save special moments from the holiday, this album is the perfect keepsake for your Christmas memories.

I designed this album with the Simple Stories collection called Vintage Rustic Christmas. The traditional red and green colors are beautiful and there are lots of images of Santa, poinsettias, holly and evergreens.

Numbers are included in the kit so you can choose to take photos each day leading up to (and including) Christmas or skip the numbers and add pictures as you wish.

I've added lots of bells and whistles in this album like fun, interactive flippies and fold-outs. Check out the page above - doesn't the folding element look like a Hallmark Christmas card?! I love it!

There are pockets for saving special memorabilia like ... a letter to Santa, the little's wish list, a family holiday recipe, Christmas cards, tickets to a show or holiday event, church program, or extra photos.

If you want to document each day or just need some new picture ideas ... here's a list of fun activities worth taking fun photos of:
  • A visit with Santa
  • Cut down your own tree
  • Make garland with the family - use pom-poms, dried fruit, popcorn or cranberries
  • Attend a lights festival
  • Gather friends to roast chestnuts or marshmallows around an open fire
  • Volunteer for a charitable cause
  • Decorate your home with twinkle lights - inside and out
  • Make birdseed ornaments for your tree outside and watch the birds enjoy
  • Go ice skating with the family
  • Have a movie night with your favorite Christmas shows
  • Invite friends over for a cookie swap
  • Build a snowman, a fort, a snow angel or have a snowball fight
  • Make or wear an ugly Christmas sweater
  • Take a family photo in front of the tree
  • Write a letter to Santa
  • Bake & decorate holiday cookies with the littles or grandlittles
  • Do something kind for someone else
  • Create your own Christmas cards, wreath, or an advent calendar
  • Spend an afternoon wrapping presents with a bestie (... and eggnog!)
  • Get dressed up and attend a holiday party
  • Build a gingerbread house
  • Go caroling with friends
  • See a holiday play
  • Be creative with hiding an Elf on the Shelf
  • Make smores and hot chocolate
  • Have a family sleepover and camp out in front of the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree
  • Make paper snowflakes
  • Put together an Artsy Albums kit for someone as a wonderful handmade Christmas gift!!

Whew ... that's a busy December! I can't wait. I hope you have fun this holiday season, take lots of photos and save them in one of my beautiful scrapbook albums. Five years from now, you'll be so glad you did.

Update: This album has sold out but I've added the links for the Instructions and the products used below. My instructions are simple, step-by-step and include measurements and full color photos of each page. Happy scrappin'!

Little Pumpkin Mini Album with Doodlebug Design

Hey friends! Today, I have a really cute "Little Pumpkin" shaped mini album to share with you that's filled with the adorable Doodlebug Design, Happy Haunting Collection. I love a shaped album so when I realized October 26th was National Pumpkin Day, I knew exactly what I wanted to make!

To start, I cut the front and back covers out of clear acrylic, but ... you could easily use acetate, cardstock, or chipboard instead. For the shape, I used the Pumpkins cut file from the Flea Market Collection (link below).

The first page under the clear cover was made with the orange 12x12 Hello paper. It's the perfect color and I love the fun print. The little worm sprinkle sticker might be my favorite character of the bunch.

Inside, I used a colorful mix of 12x12 pattern papers and some petite prints to cover the white base pages. I added round photo mats using a 3.5" scallop punch and a 3" circle punch from Marvy Uchida (links below).

Next, I decorated the pages with lots of adorable embellishments from the Odds & Ends, Chit Chat, 12x12 sticker sheet, and sprinkle stickers. How cute are these happy pumpkin die cuts above?!

This Happy Haunting collection is so bright and colorful. I love that little purple haunted house with the crazy eyes against the green pattern paper. It's spooktacular. 😉

These pages would be great for photos of amazing costumes, holiday parties, carving pumpkins, fun decorations, trick-or-treating, and yummy treats.

Rylee was visiting when I was working on this page … she stuck the eye ball stickers on the page before I caught her so I just left them. Looks pretty cute!  I may have another scrapbooker in the family! The spider filled BOO is from the Chit Chat. The green circle with the dots is from the Bits and Pieces. I'm loving these new die cuts! This package comes with tags, tabs, shapes, and tombstones. Oh, and trees ...

... like this one! I added some dots from the Spider Celebration Sprinkles to the branches so they would look like colorful lights. And check out the ghosts peeking from behind the tree, lol! So cute!

Hope everyone has a great Halloween and has fun creating with the adorable Happy Haunting Collection!
