Crafty Tote Shaped Mini Album with Doodlebug Design

Hey guys! I'm so excited to be sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project with you! As you know, I'm a mini album girl. I just love them and when my creative juices get flowing ... I love trying to turn just about any shape into one. So, when I saw a cutting file that was shaped like a little craft tote, I thought ... challenge accepted! 

The file is called Craft Caddie and it's from Doodlebug's Cute and Crafty collection (link below). To create my cover and base pages, I sized the file to about 7" wide and created an offset of the base piece (the one with the scissors attached).

 

Unfortunately, I messed up the craft knife on the design so I had to trim that part off with scissors. But no worries, I just replaced it with a cute roll of twine from the Odds & Ends and no one ever needs to know! Shhhh. 😉 

 

All the inside pages were made with white paper as a base. Then I covered each one with a different pretty 12x12 patterned paper. I mixed and matched with coordinating prints for the mats and added lots of cute die cuts from the Odds and Ends. 

 

The Bits & Pieces are a new product released with this collection. The flowers above and the journaling card below, all came in the pack. Cute right?! It also comes with leaves, tags, tabs, and lots of other fun pieces. 

 

 

I added sprinkle stickers throughout the album. They're always the little finishing touch that each page needs. 

 

 

Take a look at the button shape sprinkles above. They look like actual buttons! Adorable.

 

I think I actually used something from every single product in the Cute and Crafty collection in this album, lol! I added pieces from the Chit Chat and stickers from the This & That sheet. On the page below, I added word stickers for little tabs above my photos. So cute!

Once my pages were all complete, I used my We R Memory Keepers Cinch tool to punch binding holes and add binding wire. You can buy the newer version (mine is old) of this tool and totally do this also. I've added the link below. 

I can just imagine lots of fun photos from a weekend crop or a scrapping retreat tucked inside this sweet mini. The Cute and Crafty collection is the perfect theme for those memories and now ... so is the shape of the album!
