Hey guys! Today I'm over on Doodlebug's blog sharing my latest design team project and it's a cutie! I made a sweet Bumblebee shaped mini album with the Fairy Garden collection and one of my favorite Doodle "bugs" of all time. Love those little pink cheeks. 😊
To make this album, I used a new cutting file from the Fairy Garden collection called Bumblebees. I offset the back base shape of one of the bees and cut the offset out of white card stock to make each of my pages.
For the cover I used some pretty yellow and pink petite prints in linen, the Bee Happy paper and the gorgeous Raindrops vellum for it's wings. I love the wings!! I glued them in the center then folded them up a bit so it looks like he's flying.
Then for each page, I mixed a bunch of pretty 12x12 and 6x6 printed papers. I prefer to use the 6x6 paper for the circle mats because of the smaller print size. I used a 3.5" scalloped circle punch and layered a 3" circle on each of those mats. Next up, I added tons of cute pieces from the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat. (Product links below.)
I have soooo much fun making these little shaped albums. I think they're perfect for lots of different photos and the themes can vary with the shape. The possibilities are endless with so many wonderful cutting files out there. I love Lori Whitlock's shop.
These mini albums are great for a single occasions or events like a fun birthday
party, a baby shower, an afternoon with grandma, a play date with friends, a
day at the pool or water park, doing arts and crafts or baking in the kitchen. Oh! ... what about a little's school party, a fun activity in class or graduation! How cute!
Or, you can make these minis all about one special person or a sweet
relationship. Add your baby's photos, make it a friendship album, a keepsake
for your pet's pictures, a mini for you and your sweetheart or ... a
brag book for mom or grandma!
I
think these shaped albums make such meaningful gifts. To me, they feel
really special and handmade. They become a sentimental keepsake for
anyone who receives it. And the proud feeling it gives you ... that you
are totally the bomb ... is icing on the cake. 😊
On this page, I added the pretty "Hello Friend" sticker from the This & That sheet in place of a photo mat. I love it paired with the 2 little fairies!
That cute banner above is from the mini icon stickers. It was the perfect size for this little album, don't you think?
