Hey guys! I have the cutest project to share with you today. I made a mushroom shaped mini album!! How cute is that? It might be my favorite shaped one so far and Doodlebug's Fairy Garden collection was perfect! The sweet little fairies, the pretty colors, and the adorable patterns ... I'm so in love. Take a look ...
I created the album's shape using a Doodlebug cut file from the Fairy Garden collection called Fairy House #2. I offset the base shape to create 5 white page backgrounds and then had lots of fun layering on pattern papers from the 12x12 sheets.
I had so much fun with the cover. I love the fairies and used foam tape behind the two at the top to make them look like they're flying. I added a glitter sprinkle for the door knob, more dot sprinkles to the centers of the flowers, and then ... some cute bugs.
Check out the tiny wreath on the door! I made it out of an icon sticker and some teensy flowers from the Birds & Bugs sprinkles. Doesn't every front door need a welcoming wreath?
I added some cute 12x12 prints to each page and a photo mat for small pictures. I made all the mats the same size and shape for consistency. I used a 3.5" scallop circle punch and layered a 3" circle on top of that.
Mixing the pretty prints from this Fairy Garden Collection is a no brainer since they all go together beautifully. So bee-hive with mushrooms? Yep. Dots and flowers? Of course! Clouds, hearts, plaids, graph design, sunshiny faces? Yes, bring it on ... the more the merrier!
Now for the embellishments! I used a combination of odds & ends, icon stickers, chit chat pieces, and my favorite ... the fun little sprinkles!
Foam tape is such a great tool. I love that it gives dimension to the pages and makes the cute little bugs and fairies look like they're hovering over the page.
This mini is perfect for spring photos, playing outside,
gardening, and a visit to the park. We could all use a little
more sunshine these days! 🌞
Oh, I love this pink page! This is what my mushroom house would look like if I was a 2 inch fairy ... bright pink with pretty flowers next to my tiny wooden door. Love it!
Can you tell I had fun making this one?! I think the Fairy Garden collection has become one of my all-time favorite Doodlebug lines!
So, what could this lil mushroom house inspire me to create next? What else do the fairies need? Maybe a cute garden with a picket fence! Hmmmm ... stay tuned. 😉
