St Patrick's Day Handmade Cards

Hey guys! St Patrick's Day is right around the corner so, I made a few holiday cards. This is a day where people honor their Irish heritage, culture, and traditions. But ... you don't have to be Irish to join in the fun! People wear green, go to church, and drink Irish whiskey, beer, or cider with friends. Some cities across the US also participate with parades and festivities. Well, that's fun! And ... for another cute St. Patrick's Day card idea, click HERE.

So wouldn't it be nice to make these cards and then ... even nicer to give them away?! If you have pictures from a past St Patty's Day celebration, add one or two inside the card. What a thoughtful way to brighten someone's day.

To make these, I used the Doodlebug Design, Lots O' Luck Collection and a petite print in gingham and linen. I'm loving the bright colors, cute leprechauns, and pots of gold!

For the first card, I used black card stock for the base of the card. I thought it made the die cuts and that amazing plaid paper (called Pot O' Gold) look so vibrant. I added the embellishments from the Lot's O' Luck Odds and Ends and used some foam squares behind the pot of gold to give it dimension. The orange clover and mushroom are from Doodlebug's Happy Go Lucky Collection. Yep ... I'm mixin' and matchin, lol!

I used white cardstock to make the second card. I layered a strip of Doodlebug's petite print linen in bumblebee along the top half and a strip from the 12x12 print called Bonnie Lass along the bottom half. The cute word bubbles are from the Odds & Ends and the 12x12 clover paper in the background is called Lucky Clovers from the Happy Go Lucky Collection.

Thanks for stopping by and have fun making these handmade cards!
