Hey guys! I have the cutest shaped mini album to share with you today. It's my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project that uses the adorable Hippity Hoppity Collection and ... it's just in time for Easter! What a fun scrapbook to make and a super unique keepsake for your favorite holiday photos.
Here's how I made it ... I used the Doodlebug, Chick in Eggs cutting file to cut out my base shape and cover pieces. I offset the original shape slightly so that I could cut out my white pages. Then, I cut the pieces from the original shapes and adhered them to my cover and each inside page. I also made an offset of the egg portion so that I could pop it up on a white background. (All product links below.)
The paper on this first page is a really pretty vellum with raised shiny raindrops. It's from the Doodlebug, Hello Sunshine Collection and I love it as the background for these cute die cut pieces from the Odds & Ends.
This close-up shows the glossy raindrops a little better. So nice, right?! And ... how cute are the glitter sprinkles on the wagon wheels and the flower? Somehow, sprinkles just make everything a bit more special.
Check out these pretty pattern papers! Mix and match any of them ... you can't go wrong. I really wanted to add the rabbit and his purple plane so, I had to trim off the banner in order to make him fit. But he still looks great and is so cute flying over the scalloped circle photo mat.
The hot air balloon is a Doodle-Pops called Hop Hop and Away. I think its rainbow colors are perfect with the floral background. Did you notice the happy little sunshine in the sky and the 2 tiny bunnies in the basket? I love those small details!
If you follow me, you know I love to create these shaped albums and sometimes, I need to get creative with the photo mats. Here I used a 3 1/2" round scallop punch and a 3" circle punch to make them. The pictures can tuck behind the embellishments and still be the star of the page! Or ... at least share the spotlight. 😉
And speaking of a star ... that cruisin' bunny in the carrot car above just kills me! He's another great Doodle-Pops called Bunny I'm Home.
This page is perfect for a picture of dying Easter eggs, but ... this photo mat is almost too cute to cover up! It's a smaller sized print from the 6x6 paper pad. I love the contrast of mixing them with the larger 12x12 papers.
I usually hoard my Doodle-Pops but today, I threw caution to the wind and added 4 to this album! The Easter basket is so pretty with its shiny eggs and the bunny jumping over the photo mat is precious! (Links below)
