Hi guys! I've been working on some winter layoutss for my granddaughter's latest album. I'll add to it each month and thought I'd share the January pages with you for inspiration. I'm loving Doodlebug's Winter Wonderland Collection and since the colors are perfect with her pink album, it was a no-brainer!
First, how cute is this pink album? It's an
8"x8" Doodlebug Storybook album (cupcake color). I knew when I saw it I had to make this for Rylee. You could put a picture in the window but I thought the pretty flowers were fun and colorful.
It's getting cold here in Georgia, so I wanted these pages to have a chilly theme. Again, this collection was perfect with the smiling little animals, snowmen and snowflakes. I added the January title with Doodlebug's Sunshine Alpha stickers, then added some paper from the petite prints collection. I wanted a subtle patterned paper so the focus could be on Rylee and her sweet animal friends. The prancing fox is so cute.
I hope to see a little snow this season. Not a blizzard ... just some snow so that Rylee can spend time playing in it, making snow angels and building a snowman. It's a really fond memory for me and my sister.
I made a pocket page with a 4x4 design so that I could add multiple photos of her silly, wonderful, beautiful little face! I mean ... she's 4 years old! She has so many cute expressions!!
If you look at the close-up photo above, I made the paper look like
patterned paper. Cute, right?! I couldn't decide on just one of the border stickers or paper frills, so ... I just added them all and made my own design! I think it turned out great. The adorable Doodle-Pop, Polly Polar Bear was just icing on the cake. Rylee will love her!
For the pocket on the bottom, I added a cute 3x3 envelope to my insert card. I love the blue color of the petite prints paper. The white letter stickers and snowmen (or ... snowwomen, lol) really stand out against the rich blue. Those snow-people 😉 are Doodle-pops from the Frosty Friends collection called Frosty Fellows but you could use any sticker from the winter wonderland icons instead. (Links below)
For the next page, I made a pretty interactive element that I call a "flippie". Yep, totally a word (well ... at Artsy Albums). It's a card
that flips up! Much shorter to say and cuter, lol.
Anyway, I
embellished it with a few pretty doilies and
some frosty buttons from the Winter Wonderland collection. This will be
perfect for a sweet photo of Rylee who ... is as cute as a button! 😊
My granddaughter is always so busy. You know at 4 ... there's a lot to do. Her wonderful pre-school sends pictures from class so of course, I plan to scrap some of them on these pages. Whether it's time learning, an art project, reading a book, or a selfie with her bestie wearing their princess masks ... I always love saving these everyday photos. This is her fun, sweet, busy little life and I want to document as much as I can.
You know I love sprinkles! I always say they're my favorite. So, I lined up these mini hearts in a neat little row. Perfect way to add some embellishing without crowding the photo.
Oh, and if you like to journal in your albums, this graph paper is awesome. I'll probably put a photo here, but the lines would be perfect to keep your handwriting straight ... especially after a glass of wine!
For this layout, I used a 3-pocket page protector. I
created the Family Memories title in the top space with more stickers and the tall snowman is a Frosty Friends Doodle-Pops. I'm thinking of putting a sweet picture of Rylee with her new little brother on this page. Sibling pictures are the cutest and she's so proud of Jax.💗
Well, what do you think? I hope these pages give you some ideas for your winter pictures and that you're having a wonderful, crafty start to the new year!
