Happy Friday everyone! Time for another newbie and this week I have a really special recipe album to share with you titled What's Cookin'. I fell in love with two different collections and, since I couldn't decide on just one ... I used them both!
The Simple Stories Apron Strings & the Echo Park Farmhouse Kitchen collections look great together and I had so much fun creating it. I think it turned out perfect! Take a look ...
This album combines pretty florals and plaids with fun kitchen/food related papers and embellishments. The two collections gave me so many great products to work with that this mini is almost a maxi, lol!
So, I'm sure many of you have recipes that have been passed down in the family. Your grandmother's amazing coconut pie or homemade biscuits ... or your mom's apple cake. Those recipes need a special place! ... especially if they're handwritten on the original recipe cards! This is the perfect scrapbook and there's plenty of room for a picture of your loved one right along side the recipe :)
This would be a sweet
place for photos of time in the kitchen with the littles or grandlittles! Cooking lessons for homemade pasta, baking
cupcakes or maybe decorating holiday sugar cookies. How fun!
Creating great memories in the kitchen is something we always remember
but it's nice to have the photos and recipes to look back on. And it's super practical. I mean, who else will have such a custom, one-of-a-kind recipe book?
Another idea ... document your holiday meals. The Thanksgiving Day turkey, the fish on Christmas Eve, the Easter ham, the beautiful dinner table, the amazing buffet and the wonderful family and friends.
It's a mini album but it is packed on the inside! It measures a bit larger than 6"x8" but has 26 scrapbook pages (13 front and back), 30 matching recipe cards, 25 plastic page protectors and space for at least 37 photos! That's 50 pages (25 double-sided) of memories!!
Update: This kit has sold out but the instructions are available in my shop. They are simple, step-by-step and include measurements and full color photos of each page. Links for the instructions and the products used are below. Happy scrappin'!
