Christmas Recipe Scrapbook Album

Hi scrappers! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project! I'm always looking for fun, unique gift ideas at Christmas and I love to give handmade items. So, here's a cute idea for passing on family recipes that are traditional favorites around the holidays.

I designed this sweet little book with a chipboard album from Prima, paper and embellishments from the adorable Christmas Town Collection, twine in Bon Bon, and Doodlebug's Hopscotch Alphabet Stickers.

I used white cardstock to create pockets in the album, perfect for tucking in some cute recipe cards and those adorable jellyclips!

When I fill out the recipe cards, I plan to handwrite them with colorful gel pens in lots of Doodlebug colors!

I found some border stickers from a past Doodlebug collection (Milk & Cookies) that looked cute across the top of the pockets.  I love that Doodlebug collections coordinate from year to year since everything always matches!

Treat Bags - November Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Hey guys! Today is Lori Whitlock's October Blog Hop and my site is the first stop on the hop. So, if you're starting here be sure hop back to Lori's site for more great ideas.

 
For my project, I created some cute fall treat bags. These would be great for teachers, kids who visit for Thanksgiving, or just to remind someone special how thankful you are for them!

 

 

I plan to fill them with candy and a gift card for a pumpkin spice latte. Yum! You could also add small toys, stickers, cute jewelry, or money.

Simple Vintage Christmas Mini Album

Hi friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Simple Stories Design Team Project. I wanted to create a gift idea for the holiday season and what hostess of a Christmas celebration wouldn't love to receive a beautiful handmade mini album? It could be used to save the memories and photos from that special event.

Family and friends would also love one! All you need is a 4x6 Snap album, some Simple Vintage Christmas paper and embellishments, and some cream card stock.

I used cardstock to add six 4.25" x 7" scrapbook pages in between the plastic photo sleeves. I didn't add photos to this album since this will be a gift and the recipient will add their own pictures.

I used pattern paper from the 6x8 paper pad and lots of cards from the Simple Vintage Sn@p Card set.  

On the cover of the album, and on the page above, I included chipboard frames from the layered frame set. I LOVE these! The one for the cover was cut down so that I could just use the lower left corner of the frame ... I love the dimension the chipboard added to the cover. For the frame above, I added pattern paper to the back of the frame and punched holes for the binder.

The die cuts shown above are from the Bits & Pieces pack, and the stickers throughout the album are from the 12x12 Combo sheet, chipboard, and 4x6 sticker set.

Christmas Town House Shaped Scrapbook Album

Hello everyone! Doodlebug's Christmas Town is in the house! Or ... in this case, was turned into a house, hee hee. I'm so excited to share my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. It's a really fun little house shaped mini album! Take a look ...

Since there are so many adorable houses and storefronts in the Christmas Town collection, this shape was calling my name. I had fun creating the scene on the cover with Santa, his reindeer, and some petite prints. 

Can you even stand how cute this collection is? I mean, Mrs. Clause is wearing earrings!! And ... check out the little bird in the pink hat below?!!  Adorable! 

For this album, I used heavy white chipboard for the covers and layered card stock for the pages. I also played with a combination of 12x12 pattern papers and sheets from the 6x6 paper pad.

I love how the collection has Odds & Ends and Chit Chat for lots of Christmas traditions ... decorating the tree, baking cookies, visiting Santa, building snowmen, wrapping presents, and more.

The Fancy Frills border stickers I used in this kit are actually from an older line called Sugarplums. But, you could also use the Santa Express Fancy Frills, which of course match perfectly too!

I love the red envelope above! I added the cute Santa die cut piece inside so you could journal on the back of it. Then a few presents on the front!
