July 4th Table Decorations with Lori Whitlock

Hi friends! With July 4th coming soon, I thought it would be fun to make some table decorations that are perfect for the holiday. Today, I'm sharing a little red, white, and blue inspiration using some Lori Whitlock cutting files to create popcorn boxes, pinwheels, and name place cards!

These decorations are great for Independence Day but you could change up the papers and colors and make them for any occasion, like ... a birthday party, summer fun, a Halloween themed movie night, fall / Thanksgiving, or Christmas.

To make these, I used my Silhouette Cameo machine to cut out the adorable popcorn boxes. The stripes on the boxes were perfect for July 4th and I also added a few of her 3D spiral stars to really make them festive. (Cutting file links below.)

To add to the patriotic theme, I added some cute firework place cards to my table. These are easy and fun to make. I just cut some white card stock to 4×6, folded them in half, and added Lori's awesome fireworks (link below). I can’t wait to finish my guest list and make more.

  1. Very cute and festive. I have a grown son born on the 4th of July so we usually celebrate his birthday with a cookout and swimming in our pool. This year he is working so we will celebrate on the 5th instead.

  5. well....I am looking forward to the day so that I can spend it with the family. I am going to play, run and just be with my kids. Maybe a BBQ for dinner and some ice cream afterwards. I may head across the river (I live in Canada)....still undecided on that.

  7. How cute are these??!! We are in a parade and they would be adorable to decorate the car with the stars and hand them out to the children along the parade route! (We are a senior line dance team and are in two parades this year!)

  10. Super cute. My husband's birthday is July 4th so we celebrate him. His favorite thing is homemade ice cream and our maker broke last year so that is his present this year...

  11. I plan on crafting with my neighbor and make 4th of July Luminary lights, scrapbook, see fireworks of course, eat hotdogs @ James Coney Island: our family tradition on Independence Day, and take our 3 1/2 year old daughter to the "Cool Night" at the Zoo event on the 5th to have fun with 4th of July activities and cool off. : ) Oh, and maybe take a dip in our neighboorhood pool which always has a fun Independence Day event too.

  15. July 4th this year will be spent with family so I have made some table decorations using rosettes that I mounted on wooden skewers and made a few little goody bags for the kids! Red, white and blue jelly beans anyone?!

  16. We aren't really doing much on July 4th because we're celebrating on the weekend instead but I have been making a lot of patriotic cards for Operation Write Home for the past month. Not July 4th cards specifically, but done in red white and blue! Happy 4th of July to everyone!
