NEW! Memories To The Max Scrapbook Album Kit

Hello friends! It's time to share this week's totally rad NEW Memories To The Max Scrapbook Kit that will be in my shop on Friday. This boombox shaped mini album has a super retro 1980's vibe that's so fun and nostalgic! I grew up in Florida during the 80's, so I thought the shape would be perfect. If you're a millennial, Gen X, or just love this vintage style ... this one is for YOU! Keep reading for lots of ideas for this most triumphant keepsake, and ... some fun 1980's pic of me! 😄

I designed it with the Simple Stories, Totally 80's Collection that features bright and pastel colors mixed with bold black and white prints. It has geometric patterns, circles, triangles, zigzags, squiggly lines, lightening bolts, grids, and checkerboards. And we can't forget the iconic roller skates, Converse sneakers, Polaroid cameras, Swatch watches, and more. Yep ... feels like the 80's!

For the acrylic album, I created this new boombox shape that's approx. 5 x 8.5 inches. I used black 1/8" acrylic so it's super sturdy. On the cover, I added 2 black acrylic circles for the speakers, a cassette tape die cut, and enamel dots for the buttons and knobs. Perfect.

Inside, there are 14 pages that include 2 fold-outs, 4 pockets, 5 flippies, and space for 36 photos. Above is one of the fold-out pages. It has plenty of space for pictures of our BIG 80's hair. I remember that Aqua Net. It was the only hairspray that would hold through Florida's humidity ... and hurricanes. 😂

And speaking of big hair, let's discuss some fun ideas for this righteous scrapbook. Let's start with ... If you grew up in the 80's: 

• Your childhood - add photos of you, best friends, roller skating, sleepovers, your first car, hobbies, your bedroom, and birthdays.

• Retro Family Album - add pictures of the family, your pets, the 1980's home and its decor, holidays, and family vacations. 

• Class of 1980's - add high school memories of friends, clubs, sports, recitals, ex-boyfriends, pep rallies, homecoming, plays, prom, and graduation. 

• 80's Favorites - make this memory scrapbook of your favorite movies, TV shows, music, bands, toys, candy, fashion, hairstyles, and trends.

• Concert Memories - include concert pictures, band and artists' names, ticket stubs, set lists, wristbands, pictures of the band's t-shirts, favorite song, tour programs, pinback buttons, and backstage or VIP passes.

• Mixtape Memories - dedicate each page to a favorite song and the memory connected to it. 

• Then & Now - pair photos from the ’80s with current photos of the same people.

 

If you didn't grow up in the 80's but LOVE this wicked retro theme, here are some fun ideas:

• Totally Rad Birthday - perfect for an ’80s-themed birthday party, graduation party, or anniversary.

• Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - use this for photos of a girlfriend trip, girls’ night out, fun moments with your bestie, or a fabulous retreat weekend.

Because of the album's radio / boombox shape, think of musically inspired themes you could use this for, like: 

• Music Through the Years - add your favorite artists, albums, concerts, playlists, and musical memories from ANY decade. 

• Dance Party Scrapbook - use this mini for school dances, weddings, parties, karaoke nights, or dance recitals.  

• Vacation Mixtape - turn a fabulous trip into your own “greatest hits” collection and add photos of your favorite memories. 

• The Soundtrack of My Life - use each page for a different era, person, or milestone and the song that reminds you of it.

• Roller Rink Memories - skating parties, roller derby, or retro-themed events.

So many fun possibilities! I hope this unique shaped scrapbook makes you smile and becomes a forever keepsake for your memories. Ok, time for some photos!

Look at that hair! I love looking back on these old photos. So fun! Jack and I have been together since high school so he's in a lot of my pictures. In the bottom left corner ... he's wearing zubaz pants! Lol! Who remembers those? The photos are super grainy, but thought it would be fun to share!

July 4th Scalloped Mini Album with Doodlebug

Hey girls! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and this week, I made a patriotic July 4th Scalloped Mini Album. It's so stinkin' cute, super colorful, and perfect for photos of the 4th of July and this year's 250th anniversary! I've just added the instructions for it to my shop, so ... time to scrap your pictures!

To make this, I used the fabulous Hometown USA Collection that features a bright red, white, and blue color scheme, silver foil accents, stars, flags, fireworks, and lots of Doodlebug cuteness! ❤️ (Links below.)

I also used my 4.5" x 7.5" inch white Acrylic Scallop Edge Album. It has a pretty scalloped edge down one side, white cardstock pages, and silver binding rings. For today's project though, I actually swapped out the silver rings for red ones for a little more color.

On the front, I used the fireworks pattern in the background and it looked perfect! Then, I added the 3x4 card and layered the matching Uncle Sam Doodle-pops directly on top for dimension. Look how cute! His tiny enamel eyes and buttons, that little red bow tie, and the silver foil details. Love him!

Next, I wanted to highlight the scallops so I used a 1" circle punch and colorful prints from the 6x6 paper pad to decorate the front and back of each. The smaller scaled patterns worked great for this.

Inside, there are 12 white scrapbook pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 1 flippie, 1 pocket, and space for 18 photos. I covered the pages in fun 12x12 pattern papers, added photo mats, and embellished. In this ^ photo, I added a cute clipboard from the Bits & Pieces and some enamel stars and a flag shaped sprinkle. On the right, I chose the cute kids die cut from the Odds & Ends and added 2 enamel dots to the tires (links below).

This bright and cheerful album makes the perfect keepsake for this special year. Add photos of a local festival, a parade, a neighborhood party, a BBQ, backyard games, an afternoon on the lake, boating, the beach, an amazing fireworks display, and fun with your family and friends! 

Check out these cute pages! On the left, I made a flippie with a 3x4 journaling card. Open that up and there's a colorful hot air balloon underneath and space for 2 photos. On the right, I created a pocket with journaling cards / photo mats tucked inside. It's also a great spot for saving memorabilia.

Home Together House Shaped Scrapbook with Bella Blvd

Hello everyone! It's time for my next Bella Blvd Design Team Project and this week, I made a colorful new house shaped mini album titled Home Together. It's perfect for photos of family, friends, celebrations, and fun everyday memories. And good news ... the instructions for this are now in my shop. Yay!!

Home Together Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this with Bella Blvd's amazing Walking On Sunshine Collection that features cute houses, trees, flowers, rainbows, butterflies, bees, kites, and lots of fun patterns. It's sunny and cheerful and will definitely make you smile! 😍

I also used my Acrylic House Shaped Album in white. It's about 8x10 inches and comes with 3 sturdy 1/8" acrylic shaped pieces, card stock pages, and binding rings.

I had so much fun making this cover resemble a house ... and it's PINK! I used the polka dot paper called Petal Pop, then added the scalloped Doohickey sticker, and row of flowers from the Ephemera Words. I cut out a tag shaped door from the Sunny Side Street print, added another sticker on the front, and a Sun Fun epoxy dot for the doorknob.

 

But that's not all! My favorite embellishments were the Bella-pops titled Wings of Sunshine. Those are the cute butterfly, bee, and flower stickers that add so much dimension to the cover. Then to finish it off, I added the little stars and the pink heart from the Sunny Day puffy stickers. It turned out so cute!

Inside, there are 12 scrapbook pages that include 2 flippies, 1 pocket, and space for 22 photos. Above is one of the flippies I made with a 4x6 card from the Daily Details paper. It has space inside for 2 photos and I love the saying on it. "So much to smile about". Perfect for highlighting your fun memories.

The scrapbook pages are layered in different sizes and shapes, making this album super unique. For the layout above, I used a mix of colorful 12x12 pattern papers, the "good day rays" from the Ephemera Words, and the beautiful rainbow and flowers from the Ephemera Icons. The rainbow fit perfectly in the roof shape, don't you think? 

On this page, I placed a little pink house from the Ephemera Icons in the roof section and added a cute sunshine peeking out from behind it. Love that detail. Then, I added 2 photo mats, a few Doohickey word stickers, and more puffy star shapes. To finsih the page, I created another flippie using one of the 3x4 Daily Details cards. 

Ohhhh, this layout makes me so "happy"! The pattern paper in the background is perfectly named Sunshine Party. There are lots of colorful suns, rainbows, flowers, butterflies, strawberries, and cute clouds. For the photo mat, I used the twinkly star paper called Golden Vibes, then decorated with a few pretty die cuts. It feels magical, like a great childhood dream! ✨

Here, I used the striped side of the 12x12 Borders print in the background and made a photo mat with the yellow polka dot Blooming Bright paper. I tucked the rainbow striped tag from the Daily Details behind it and embellished with an epoxy dot. Then, I decorated with the "sun-sational" die cut 🌞(Ephemera Words) and the rainbow sun (Ephemera Icons). 

Nothing says summer like colorful fruits, so I added this cute die cut to the page. It's from the Ephemera Icons and I love the way it looks with the Sprinkle of Sunshine paper in the background.

This pocket page was made with the whimsical Sunshine Party and Blooming Bright prints. The cards inside are from the Daily Details and can be used for journaling or as photo mats. I added the happy sunshine and pink squiggle border from the Doohickey stickers, then completed the look with a butterfly die cut from the Ephemera Icons.

Check out the Polaroid shaped die cuts on this page! They are from the Ephemera Words and they're perfect for two more pictures.

NEW! Everyday Memories Scalloped Acrylic Album Kit

Happy Wednesday! Who's ready to see this week's brand new kit that will be in my shop on Friday? It's a wonderfully generic mini album titled Everyday Memories that has bright citrus colors and a playful summer vibe that's perfect for all kinds of fun memories!

I designed it with the Simple Stories, Sweet Summertime Collection that's filled with fun images of flowers, cameras, cherries, butterflies, ladybugs, ice cream cones, and fun whimsical patterns.

For the album, I used my 7x7 inch clear Acrylic Scallop Square Album. It has a pretty scalloped edge around all 4 sides, 6x6 inch white cardstock pages, and silver binding rings. 

Here's a close-up of the album's scalloped edge. Isn't it pretty? The scallops have little lace like cut-outs!

On the cover, I chose a 3x4 card with flowers and a butterfly, then used the "memories" foam sticker for the title. For dimension, I added some thick white acrylic circles and covered them in pattern papers that I cut with a circle punch. Then, I finished it off with some glossy enamel dots. I love how all the circle shapes mimic the scallop edge and pattern paper behind the clear cover.

Inside, there are 16 scrapbook pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 9 flippies, a bunch of cute journaling cards, and space for 40+ photos. The page above has one of those flippies, along with fun yellow polka dots, a colorful plaid, and lots of "good vibes".

Here's a smaller 4x6 inch page. It has a cute scene on the front and a pretty plaid paper on the backside so you can add a picture. And I love the saying ... "it's all about the moments in-between". So true. 💕

This cheerful scrapbook has a light, summery theme but it's not overly specific. So, it's perfect for photos of everyday moments, fun with family or friends, a birthday or ANY celebration, date night or girls night out, silly selfies with the kiddos, a vacation or a weekend getaway, and even photos with your furbabies! 

Here's a peek at another fold-out page. The front flap has a super cute journaling card where you can document about "the best day ever". 😉

I love the extra space a fold-out page gives you in mini albums, so I always try to add a few to my scrapbooks. This one has "The Good Life" card on the front that matches the cute plaid paper inside perfectly. Open it up and you'll see ...

... a pretty pink flippie, another journaling card, and space on the inside of the flap for 1-2 more photos! And did you notice I sprinkled enamel glitter dots throughout the album? Love those.
