Snowman Shaped Scrapbook Album with Lori Whitlock

Hi friends! It's time for my next Lori Whitlock Design Team Project and this week, I made a cute snowman shaped mini album using one of Lori's fabulous cutting files called Shaped Shadow Box Card Snowman (links below). It's perfect for photos of the holiday season and your favorite winter memories. It would also make a great handmade gift idea.

Here's what the file looks like ...

 

This card is absolutely adorable. It's a full snowman with a layered 3D winter scene in the center. I will definitely be making the card soon but for today's project, I used just his head.

 

To make the album, I cut the cover out of white acrylic but you could use card stock. Then, I used black card stock and patterned papers from Doodlebug Design for the details (links below). I added a few pop dots behind the holly berries and leaves for a little dimension and I think he's the cutest!

To decorated the album, I used the Doodlebug Design Snow Much Fun Collection. Just inside the cover, I added some pretty houses and trees from the Odds and Ends die cuts.

Next, I cut 4 snowman shaped pages out of white card stock giving me 8 layouts. I covered each of the pages in pattern papers, then added lots of cute embellishments, flippies, and photo mats.

On the page above, I cut out a 4" circle and a 3.5" circle to create my photo mat. Isn't that paper in the center great? I love all the little winter images.

The round snowman's face allowed me to play with the shape and size of the photo mats so I varied them for interest. Then, I filled in the extra space around them with die cut pieces.

Speaking of die cuts ... how cute are the little penguins above? I placed one underneath the mat so it looks like he's peeking out from behind it! I made the mat with a 3" scalloped circle punch and a 2.5" circle punch.

This mini album looks so cute sitting on my clear Acrylic Display Stand. It's perfect for showing off your amazing projects, especially throughout the seasons. They make great decor, and ... they're filled with your FUN memories. And if you're giving this album as a gift, give them a stand too!

12x12 Oh What Fun Christmas Scrapbook Layout Kit

Hello friends and happy Friday! Today, I've added a brand new Christmas themed 12x12 page kit to the shop titled Oh What Fun. I shared the first layout yesterday for my Doodlebug Design Team Project and today, I'm giving you a peek at the other 5 pages filled with cute papers and embellishments!  

These 6 layouts have space for 19 photos. With their bright colors, festive patterns, and images of Santa Claus, elves, presents, Christmas trees, stockings, and reindeer ... they're perfect for any holiday memory.

Here's the page I shared yesterday. The squares in the design really show off all the fun pattern papers, don't you think? And the pile of colorful presents is adorable.

I love this multi-photo layout. It has space for 4 pictures, a fun little journaling spot, and Santa's cute crew!

12x12 Christmas Scrapbook Page with Doodlebug

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with family, friends, laughter, and great food. It's time for me to share my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and since Christmas is just around the corner, I made a 12x12 scrapbook page. It's 1 of 6 layouts that will make up tomorrow's brand NEW kit! These pages are perfect for photos of decorating a tree, Santa, a holiday show, and Christmas morning. 

I designed it with the bright and colorful Oh What Fun Collection, and ... it was oh so fun! To make it, I chose the petite prints plaid and polka dot in limeade for the base, then added white card stock on top.

Next, I used a Marvy Uchida punch to cut 21 squares out of cute patterns from the 6x8 paper pad. The punch is 1 3/4" but you could also use a paper trimmer. I knew I wanted the design to be set on a diagonal, so I arranged the squares in rows with each row having one less square than the line above it.  

For the title, I cut the "Merry & Bright" words from the 12x12 Check the Halls paper and matted it with the red and white polka dot print called Here Comes Santa. Then, I made 2 photo mats with the same limeade plaid that I used for the base. 

Time to embellish! I added lots of fun die cuts from the Odds & Ends. There are 203 pieces in the package so there are tons of great ones to choose from. I added colorful trees, gifts, elves, gingerbread, a bird, and some acetate stars / snowflakes. They're all so cute!

NEW! It Was Always You Wedding Scrapbook Kit

Hello friends! It's time for a peek inside this week's new scrapbook kit and this one is gorgeous!! It's a wedding mini album titled It Was Always You and it will be in my shop on Friday. This beautiful keepsake is perfect for photos of an engagement, dress shopping, a bridal shower, the rehearsal, the big day, and all the fun in between! Take a look ... 

I designed this with the 49 & Market, One Perfect Day Collection that features pretty florals, delicate lace patterns, vintage text, and a sophisticated neutral color palette of blush, cream, taupe, and sepia tones. I also used a 6x8 inch gray album by Doodlebug Design.

On the cover, I added elegant papers, die cuts, and laser cut elements of pretty flowers, an oval frame, champagne glasses, wedding gifts, and gold rings. Then, I finished it off with a beautiful satin ribbon.

Inside, there are 20 scrapbook pages that include 1 fold-out page, 2 pockets, 1 flippie, and space for 40 amazing photos of the celebration.

What a special handmade book to document a love story and a couple's favorite wedding memories. Add pictures of the proposal, the ring, different venues, shopping for dresses and tuxedos, picking flowers, tasting cakes, and the bridal shower.

As the big day arrives, add photos of the wedding's location, family arriving, bridal party, guests, the bride and groom, the vows, toasts and speeches, cake cutting, the dance floor, the bouquet toss, and the final send off.

 

Here's a great page for just the groom. Add photos of him getting ready, his grandfather's vintage cuff links or watch, his crazy socks, and fun moments with his groomsmen.

 

Isn't this page beautiful? I love the large die cut. The pocket is a great space to save journaling cards, extra photos, or memorabilia like an invitation, place cards, love notes, your handwritten vows, wedding cards, receipts, a printed napkin, honeymoon arrangements, and tickets.

This "It Was Always You" Mini Album is a gorgeous keepsake for a new bride-to-be or extra wedding photos. It would also make such an amazing gift for parents and grandparents! Fill it with special moments from the day and they will treasure it forever. 💕
