Hey guys, today is National Crayon Day! It's a day to celebrate the joy of coloring and the invention of crayons. I always loved getting a brand new box. My favorite was the big set of 64 with the built-in sharpener, amazing colors, and their perfect little wax tips. I would be so excited to make something wonderful, and today ... I feel the same way about paper collections.
In honor of this day, I've created a new school themed scrapbook project titled "Color Outside the Lines" AND ... made some tweaks to my original Acrylic Crayon Shaped Mini Album. I've added the instructions for this new project and the revised acrylic album to my shop TODAY! (Links below.)

The revised acrylic album is made with white acrylic (vs. red), is slightly larger (more photo space!), has 3 binding rings (vs. 1), and comes with white card stock pages (vs. having to cut your own). I've added some photos below and I think this updated version will be easier and more versatile.

To decorate it, I chose the colorful Bella Blvd School is Cool Collection. It has a cute images of a bookworms and owls wearing glasses, fun school supplies, apples, crayons, and yellow school buses (links below).

Inside, there are 12 scrapbook pages (6 double-sided) that include 2 fold-out pages and 1 pocket. For my example, I also added 2 little flippies and space for 32 photos.

It's a great scrapbook for pictures of your student's school photo, best friends, favorite teacher, classroom, science fair project, awards, sports, band, lunch time, a recital or play, recess, art projects, and class parties!

I added a journaling spot for this year's "favorites". It's actually the front of one of the flippies I added and it's a tri-fold card. Open it once for a photo mat, then open it up again for another cute surprise. 😉

Here's the pocket page. I added a blue stripe to the background, then a colorful plaid and a few die cuts to the front. I also tucked 3 folded cards inside the pocket that could be used for journaling or as photo mats.

This crayon shaped album would be great for students in Pre-K, elementary school, or even middle school. The Bella Blvd collection has bright colors, stars, school supplies, and geometric prints like plaids, polka dots, and stripes, so ... it's not overly juvenile. What a unique gift idea for a student or teacher.
