Hello everyone! Today is Lori Whitlock's December blog hop and I'm sharing a Christmas mini album that I created back in 2013. I know what you're thinking ... 2013 was a long time ago. But, this Merry & Bright Scrapbook is a classic made with one of Lori's wonderful cutting files and a beautiful holiday collection. I love it just as much today as I did then!
Since some shaped albums can be challenging to display, I thought I'd also share 2 stands that I like to use. First, my clear Acrylic Display Stand is perfect for different shapes / sizes and measures about 6" high x 5" wide x 4" deep. It's made of sturdy 1/4" acrylic and consists of two pieces that simply slide together.
This next one is by 7 Gypsies. It's older and it might be harder to find but, if you have albums with rings at the top that you'd like to hang, this or something like it is a great option. A free-standing towel holder would work, too!
For the shape of this album, I used Lori's cutting file called Tiered Album Bracket. I love the waterfall pages and I've made 4 other tiered albums since. Links for those projects and all products are below.
I cut the base of the album out of a silver paper by Bazzill called Tiara from their Bling Collection. You can see its pretty shimmer in the photo above. It glistens when the light hits it and it's perfect for the holiday season.
Once the pages were cut, I decorated them with the Echo Park, Tis the Season Collection and used papers from the 6x6 pad. I love the traditional Christmas images and colors. On the top page (cover) I added one of the journaling cards, a touch of green glitter, the Merry & Bright chipboard sticker, and a fun little brad.
On this page, I cut a snowflake out of the same silver paper that I cut the base of the album out of. That cutting file is called Snowflake and it's by Echo Park (link below).
I used more flower embellishments back in the day when I made this album. Here, I added a little red daisy and an enamel brad to the center. Pretty!
On this page, I cut out the green diagonal strip using a Lori Whitlock cut file called Border Set 8 (links below). I added the stocking and ornaments card, a photo mat, and the cute "Christmas" sticker to finish the layout.
Whether you have this Echo Park, Tis the Season Collection in your stash or a similar one ... this mini album could easily be replicated with the cutting file links below.
This Merry and Bright Album is a wonderful gift idea, but if you're like me and want to keep it for yourself (lol!) ... fill it with your favorite pictures and display it year after year. Such a sweet reminder of your holiday memories.
