Hey crafty friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's November Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site too because she has a sale and more great products for you!
For my project today, I made a really fun Santa Claus shaped mini album that would be so cute filled with your photos of the holiday season. It would also make a unique gift idea for your parents, a friend, teacher, babysitter, dog walker, or a hostess!
I chose one of Lori's fabulous cutting files called Santa Shaped Card (link below). Yep, it's a card! By thinking outside the box, you can used her files to create all kinds of fun mini album shapes. I cut the front and back covers out of white acrylic, but you could
easily use cardstock or chipboard instead.
For the inside, I cut 6 pages out of white cardstock and created an internal offset for the pattern paper that covers each page. This layering of papers makes the pages super sturdy.
I used paper and embellishments from the Doodlebug Design, Candy Cane Lane Collection (links below). What a great companion to Lori's adorable Santa shape!
On each page, I added a
scalloped photo mat that I cut out using a 3.5" scalloped circle punch
and a 3" circle punch by Marvy Uchida.
You can create this scrapbook in any size, but I made mine approx. 5x5 inches. It's a great size for a small gift and looks so cute displayed in your home. Add it to an entry table, bookshelf, or coffee table for the holiday season.
And speaking of displaying ... all of Lori's projects are so wonderful whether they're a card, a mini album, or another creative work of art. So this season, I encourage you to set out your projects as decor!
My clear Acrylic Display Stand is perfect for showing off your projects and it's available in my shop.
There are more inspiring projects to see today, so be sure to hop to each blog for more great ideas!
