Hey everyone! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project that's a cute mini album titled You Color My World! The instructions AND the clear acrylic album are available in my shop (links below).
This 4.5 x 7.5" scrapbook is perfect for Valentine's Day and would make a super sweet handmade gift. It's also a wonderful place to save your own photos of loved ones, your sweetheart, the littles, friends, a beloved pet, or anyone that's special to you. 💖
To create this, I chose the Doodlebug Lots of Love Collection and one of my clear Acrylic Scallop Edge Albums. On the front, I used a 3.5" scallop circle punch and a 3" circle punch to make the shape in the center. Then, I added pieces from the Odds & Ends and some enamel shape sprinkles.
Underneath the acrylic cover, I added more shape sprinkles and the title piece from Chit Chat. The strip of tiny flowers is from the 6x6 print called Sprinkled With Love and the rainbows are from the same 12x12 print.
This album has 12 white card stock pages (6 double-sided) and
I covered each one of them with a pretty 12x12 pattern paper. I also added 4
flippies (like the "Hello Love Bug" one above), 2 fold-out pages, 1
pocket page (see below), and 1 smaller pocket for tags. So many goodies!
The pink pocket above is perfect for journaling, small love notes, movie tickets, a postcard, a brochure, a hotel room key, or a candy wrapper from your favorite sweet treat.
I love the little tag and twine that stick out the top of the album and those 2 little pieces of mail. Such cute details! I also added some colorful petite prints throughout like the dot & stripe, woodgrain, and the linen. These prints are a must-have for me. I use them in everything!
I made a cute polka dot pocket to hold a few tags. You can add a little photo to the front, then add dates, locations, names or make notes on the back side of the tags.
If you'd like to recreate this scrapbook, the Instructions are available in my shop along with the Acrylic Scallop Edge Album (links below). I hope you have fun with this project. Happy scrappin'!
