Something about pattern paper calms me (and straight lines, LOL). So creating this layout was very relaxing. As I was cutting the 1/2" strips, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but it came together and I love the result.
Full disclosure ... I'm not really good at perfectly lined up corners, so most of the strips were a bit wonky. But as I always say, there should be no stress with paper and glue. So, I came up with a solution to cut thin 1/4" strips of white paper to cover my mismatched corners, added a bit of sparkle with gems, and all was good!
Below is a picture before I added the white strips and pretty rows of gems :). Yikes!
This little girl. Oh how she has my heart. Standing in the middle of a rare Georgia snowfall, with her Anna boots and "Frozen" dress, singing "Let It Go"! So when my page corners didn't match up perfectly, I decided to let it go!!! Doing so led me to a result that I like even more.
So, let it go my friends! Slap the paper down, enjoy the process, and have FUN with it!
