Valentine's Day Pop-Up Mini Album

Hello scrappers! Wait till you see what I made for Valentine's Day!! It's a cute little heart shaped pop-up mini album I created using a beautiful Lori Whitlock cutting file. It's meant to be a card, but ... the scrapbooker in me envisioned it as an amazing little photo album filled with tiny pictures and sweet love notes.

Here's a quick video to show you how it works ...

It's adorable, right?! T
he cutting file is called Circular Pop Up Card Hearts and the paper I used is from Doodlebug's Lots of Love 6x6 paper pad (product links below).

To make this, you cut out 5 of the shapes shown above.

I used Doodlebug's textured card stock in swimming pool for the base and for the smaller heart shaped pieces, I used the pretty 6x6 pattern papers. The heart on the bottom is separated into 2 pieces and will fold inward on that blue crease.

Once you've made 5 of those shapes, you glue them together to create a little booklet that looks like this.

As you open it up ... it will start to unfold into a circular shape.

Look at all those great spaces. I see small photos, little notes, and even cute embellishments tuck in there. You could add photos of your sweetie, the littles or grandlittles, or make this all about friendship. I think it makes such a unique little scrapbook.

On the front, I added a colorful plaid paper and a strip of white cardstock. I punched small holes in the covers so that I could tie it closed with twine. Then, I added the "Love you" banner from the This & That and the bird and flowers from the mini icon stickers. And voila ... this project is done!

Now you just have to make the difficult decision of whether to keep it for yourself or give it away as a gift! Happy crafting and thanks for stopping by the blog today.
