Fairy Good Friend Waterfall Album

Hey guys! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team project. It's a really pretty mini album titled Fairy Good Friend. I've been having fun with different types of waterfall albums lately and this one is a folio style, using the adorable Fairy Garden collection. It's perfect for spring!

I think the cover turned out beautiful. I LOVE the colors of that Pixie Plaid paper, the flower Doodle-pops, the "fairy good friend" sticker and that big bow! Check out a  TUTORIAL for this waterfall album. It's very similar and you can get all the measurements and instructions to basically recreate this one.

The album is 5"x8". I used white card stock and chipboard to build the base and cut a 3" circle window in the front cover using my silhouette machine. I cut a slightly larger circle (3.25") in the plaid paper and layered that on top. You could also use a die or circle punch to cut this out.

Inside there's a sweet bug Doodle-pops from the Fairy Garden collection, a little envelope for goodies, and this amazing waterfall element filled with colorful papers. Look at all those pretty layers!

The white envelope is 2x3 and is from the Lots of Love collection. I covered it with the 12x12 Fairy Dust paper and part of a 3" scallop punch, cut from the 6x6 Bee Happy print. Then I included a magnet so that the flap would stay shut.

I added a cute card inside the envelope that can be used for journaling, small photos, or a sweet note if you give this album as a gift. I decorated the card with paper from the Fairy Garden 6x6 paper pad. Is it just me or is everything even cuter when it's tiny?!

Here's a close-up of that pretty flower Doodle-pops. It's called Bright Bunch from the Simply Spring collection and you can find it at Starlit Studios here.
I punched a 3" circle out of the Petite Print Linen and a 2 1/2" white scallop circle and used them behind the Doodle-pops to mimic the circular window on the cover.

On this page, I included two more cards from the 6x6 Paper pad, cut a 3" circle out of the 12x12 Pink Posies paper and added the butterfly sticker from the icon stickers.

Check out the Pink Posies print on this page in the smaller 6x6 version. Isn't it cute? (And the bright color is amazing!) I love mixing pattern sizes with the 6x6 and 12x12 papers. I think it's really interesting but if you only have one size, no worries! It will still be beautiful.

I embellished the pages with die cuts from the Odds & Ends and Chit Chat and stickers from the This and That, like the scalloped circle above. As the sticker says, "you brighten my day" and I hope my project has brightened yours!
