Hello Sunshine Acrylic Tabbed Album

Hello friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project, and ... I've added the instructions for it to my shop! Since spring is in the air (yay!), I made a tabbed acrylic mini album titled Hello Sunshine. This cutie is filled with flowers, rainbows, & ladybugs. And who doesn't love those happy things? 🌞🌷🌈

Hello Sunshine Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this with Doodlebug's, Fairy Garden Collection and one of my clear Acrylic Tabbed Albums. Check out the tiny shape sprinkles I added to each of the tabs. Aren't they cute? 

On the cover, I used the Over The Rainbow Doodle-pops & the Sunsational Shaker-pops. Since the album is clear, I matched the shapes on the front and back of the cover to hide the adhesive. So, from the front side ...

... to the backside, all of the shapes match perfectly! I love everything about this layout from the tiny row of hearts, to the little layered cloud, and that sweet sunshine face. Precious! 🌞

I used a mix of 12x12 and 6x6 pattern papers on each of the 12 acrylic pages (6 double-side). I had fun sorting through the odds & ends to find matches that could be backed up to one another. On the page above, the cute snail and mushroom have a duplicate set on the backside - just in different colors!

This album would be perfect for photos of spring, family, friends, Easter, everyday life, a birthday party, outdoor fun, gardening, or a picnic in the park. Give it as a wonderful birthday gift, Mother's Day gift, a surprise in someone's Easter basket, or ... as a hostess gift for the holiday.

I created a cute flippie for journaling dates, names, locations, events, or notes. Inside, you can add 2 small photos on the colorful plaid mats!

Spring Greeting Cards & Tin Box

Hello scrappers! Today, I have a new spring project for you that would make a great gift for a birthday, Easter or Mother's Day. I decorated a simple tin box that holds 3 pretty handmade greeting cards. The cards and matching tin are a beautiful little set and a great weekend project. Take a look ...

To make these, I used the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Lemon Twist Collection and a 5"x5.5" tin box I found in my stash.  I love the butterflies and the green and yellow color scheme of this paper line. It's fresh and cheerful and perfect for the spring season.

Inside, there are 3 greeting cards - one is 4"x4" and 2 are approx. 4"x5". They include varying sentiments and since people always need cards ... it makes a really useful and practical gift!

For each card, I used white cardstock as the base and added Vintage Lemon Twist 12x12 pattern papers and die cuts from the Bits and Pieces. Aren't those butterflies gorgeous? Love them! The "Thinking of You" is from a Doodlebug stamp set (product links below).

This card was super simple. I just added a 4x4 card from the 12x12 elements print and a little bumblebee die cut with foam tape. Seriously, that's almost too easy, lol!

For the Thank You card, I used the butterfly print that's on the backside of the 12x12 journal elements and added the frame die cut and the yellow butterfly from the bits and pieces. The Thank You sentiment is another Doodlebug stamp and the scalloped ribbon is from May Arts.

You can find tin boxes similar to this one at big box craft stores, Amazon, Etsy, and Oriental Trading Co. To cover it, I used 1/2" corner rounder on the paper's corners to mimic the box's shape.

This box can also be used for other presents such as gift cards, photos, or tickets! And ... it can be reused long after the cards have been given away to hold new handmade cards, save photos, jewelry, love notes, or receipts.

I designed it with the Simple Stories Indigo Garden collection and it's filled with pretty wildflowers and butterflies. BUT, the album is a brand new style that I've never used before. It's a Tri-fold Waterfall Folio Album!!  Wait till you seeeeee ....

Inside, this folio has a pocket on the left side and a large pocket PAGE in the center. These are perfect for saving memorabilia, photos, and journaling cards. You could add fun bits and pieces from trips like postcards, letters, brochures, or tickets.

Check out those big, beautiful flowers. Stunning! What a great album for pictures of friends and family, everyday moments, a birthday party, or a wonderful Mother's Day gift! 

It would also make a pretty spring bridal shower or wedding album or ... a special thank you present. Add photos of a visit to a botanical garden, a butterfly farm, or a ladies luncheon.

What about a gardening album/journal? Take photos of your favorite flowers, make notes, save seed packets, or even press a few petals for safe keeping. This would be a great gift for a gardener. 

But wait ... there's more! Flip over the pocket page and there are two beautiful waterfall elements. What a pretty surprise! These have lots of space for photos, journaling and more wonderful memories.

This folio album is very interactive and so much fun to put together. The kit comes with a full package of floral die cuts so you can add them throughout the album and make it totally your own.

Each waterfall element has a magnetic closure to keep the pages tucked in safely. I love the little butterflies on each of the ends.
