I realize everyone is thinking about fall, pumpkins, and Halloween these days. I'm not usually one of those people that starts planning for Christmas very far in advance, but ... when I received the new Simple Stories Merry & Bright Collection I fell in love and was eager to start a project.
This holiday binder album is part of the Merry & Bright collection and the outside of it is really pretty. But, I added a little more with a green ribbon, a few chipboard pieces, and some gems to give it a little shine.
I've been wanting a Christmas album with a few photos from each year to set out for the holidays. Since I have older photos, the creams in this collection really worked well. This is my son ... 27 years ago!
I used prints from the 6x8 paper pad and I love the interest that the full sheets add to the album. Isn't the Santa paper above wonderful?
I also used a combination of divided photo sleeves and full 6x8 pages. The full page design allows me to play with lots of interactive elements and embellishments.
On the page above I used stickers, bits & pieces die cuts, and chipboard.
The binder comes with add in pages that include the pocket above. I decided to use the pocket to store a few Christmas cards but extra photos, holiday recipes, letters to Santa, and gift lists would all be perfect here, too!
I have a long way to go to get my album ready for the holidays, but this collection is so much fun to play with I'm looking forward to documenting all of the other years. Thanks for stopping by!
