Merry & Bright Christmas Scrapbook with Simple Stories

I realize everyone is thinking about fall, pumpkins, and Halloween these days. I'm not usually one of those people that starts planning for Christmas very far in advance, but ... when I received the new Simple Stories Merry & Bright Collection I fell in love and was eager to start a project.

This holiday binder album is part of the Merry & Bright collection and the outside of it is really pretty. But, I added a little more with a green ribbon, a few chipboard pieces, and some gems to give it a little shine.

I've been wanting a Christmas album with a few photos from each year to set out for the holidays. Since I have older photos, the creams in this collection really worked well. This is my son ... 27 years ago!

I used prints from the 6x8 paper pad and I love the interest that the full sheets add to the album. Isn't the Santa paper above wonderful?

I also used a combination of divided photo sleeves and full 6x8 pages. The full page design allows me to play with lots of interactive elements and embellishments.

On the page above I used stickers, bits & pieces die cuts, and chipboard.

The binder comes with add in pages that include the pocket above. I decided to use the pocket to store a few Christmas cards but extra photos, holiday recipes, letters to Santa, and gift lists would all be perfect here, too!

I have a long way to go to get my album ready for the holidays, but this collection is so much fun to play with I'm looking forward to documenting all of the other years.   Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Pumpkin Party Photo Crate

Happy fall everyone! I'm so happy it's almost Halloween. I love this season and it's always a really fun time for craft projects. I decided to combine memory keeping and Halloween decor for this project by making a cute photo crate with the adorable Pumpkin Party Collection!

Halloween photo album scrapbook crate

I decorated the outside of my 4x6 inch crate (by 7 Gypsies) with Doodle-pops and glitter sprinkles. Then filled the inside with file folders, photo cards, and envelopes. I will tuck photos into these pieces after Halloween and always have a cute decor piece to set out each year.

The file folders were cut with my silhouette machine and each folder is held closed with those precious jelly clips!

I also used some paper from the new dots/stripes petite prints. I love these and they'll be a staple in my scrapbook room, for sure.

In addition to the file folders, I also used cards from the Pumpkin Party Card Assortment. Since I'll be adding photos to these pieces, I decorated them like mini scrapbook pages. I should have called this project the "Doodle-pops crate" lol ... I used so many (I think 12)!

Finally, I tucked in a few decorated envelopes.  I'll add photos to the outside, and include stories, journaling, and additional photos in these.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll visit me over at Artsy Albums!

Forever Fall Memories, Simple Stories

I can finally feel it! There's a tiny nip in the air this morning and a slight color change on the leaves. Fall is officially here but I was having trouble getting into the spirit of the season with 90 degree temps!

With pumpkins on my mind today, I wanted to share some pictures of my newest fall mini album kit. We still have a few left if you want a fun and easy way to document your fall memories.

I used Simple Stories Forever Fall collection for this album. I love the colors! Pops of pink and blue and combined with traditional fall colors of orange, brown and cinnamon. So pretty!

Even though the album is just 6"x6", it has lots of space for photos and journaling. There are pockets and folding elements throughout the book to make it interactive and provide extra space.

I think this keepsake would also be a wonderful gift for a hostess at Thanksgiving or a fall dinner. Who wouldn't want to save memories of family and friends in a special album that could be set out each year?

Happy Fall Ya'll :)

Merry & Bright Christmas Scrapbook Album Kit

Hello my friends! Today, I have a beautiful NEW Christmas album kit in the shop titled Merry and Bright. This scrapbook will make a wonderful keepsake for your Christmas memories, whether you want to document each day leading up to Christmas or save specific Christmas memories.

I designed this with the Simple Stories Merry & Bright Collection that includes the 6x8 holiday binder. It has pretty poinsettias, holly leaves, berries, plaids, presents, Christmas trees, reindeer, and of course ... Santa!

Inside, there are 16 scrapbook pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 3 pockets, 5 flippies, and space for at least 60 photos.

I've also included 25 die cut numbers so you can count down the days to Christmas. What a fun way to document your holiday activities leading up to Dec. 25th. It can be something big like a vacation, or something as small as wrapping presents or baking cookies.

Beautiful Christmas colors, coordinating embellishments, pockets, tags, and fun spots for journaling ... these are just a few of the things that adorn the pages of this album.

This album is available as a DIY Kit or premade in my shop today so hop over there next and get some shopping in! Thanks for stopping by the blog and happy scrappin'!
